Student Administration Services (SAS) provides support across the student and teaching lifecycles, from enrolments to graduation. Defined by two interconnected levels of service: the College SAS teams and the University-wide SAS teams, work collaboratively to deliver simple, timely, efficient, and innovative student administration services and advice to both students and staff.
About the Role
The Student Administration Services team is growing in the world of Exams, Achievement and Graduations, and has a brand-new opening for a dynamic Administration Officer: Exams, Achievement and Graduations.
This exciting opportunity will contribute to the planning and delivery of student-centred support services across the student lifecycle, from enrolments through to graduations. You will be responsible for the administration and support of a range of enrolment, assessment and graduation services across the University, and will assist with event management and operational support of examination and graduation events.
In collaboration with a supportive team, you will be responsible for:
Responding to a wide range of routine to complex queries from stakeholders (including students, parents, University staff and external organisations) and provide high quality customer support and advice on policy and operational matters relating to student administration support services.
Coordinating and/or assisting with the university wide administration of a range of complex activities relating to student administration services, including but not limited to:
results entry, assessment, and examination support;
prizes and awards processes;
completions, degree conferral and graduations support (including the coordination and provision of transcript and testamur services for ceremonies and Absentia conferrals); and
assisting with the set-up of venues and running of University examination and graduation events.
About You
The successful candidate will be a dynamic and self-motivated individual, with the ability to use their own initiative and judgment to solve problems and meet critical deadlines, especially during peak times. The Administration Officer will hit the ground running and demonstrate the ability to foster positive relationships and provide high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
As the Administration Officer: Exams, Achievement and Graduations, you will also demonstrate:
Completion of a degree or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Experience in assisting with the organisation of large-scale events.
The ability to communicate in a professional manner with students and staff at all levels across a range of channels, e.g. face to face, telephone, email, social media.

Governance, Legal and Risk provide governance, legal, policy, compliance, insurance and risk management support to the University and its staff. The Governance, Legal and Risk team provides advice on university governance and decision-making processes and plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Flinders have policies, frameworks and processes in place to protect its people, assets, and activities.
About the Role
As the Compliance Officer, you will manage the University’s legislative compliance framework, advise, and provide oversight on compliance issues relating to the acceptance and management of gifts and bequests in line with University policies and procedures as well as playing a key role in how the University deals with the regulatory requirements affecting its engagement with foreign organisations and individuals.
This is a pivotal role within the Governance, Legal and Risk team as it takes a key role in facilitating the management of the University regulatory requirements.
Some of the key responsibilities of the position include:
Developing policies, practices, standards, and templates for legislative compliance, and providing advice and education to internal stakeholders on best practice compliance measures.
Advising and providing oversight on the University’s policy, procedures and processes for the acceptance and management of gifts and bequests, including reporting annually to an oversight committee and assisting in the resolution of compliance issues.
Undertaking regular reporting to relevant stakeholders including the Risk Management Committee and the Audit and Risk Committee.
Working closely with internal stakeholders in relation to the management of foreign arrangements and foreign interference issues

About You
As the successful candidate, you have strong influencing and analytical. You are able to work closely with stakeholders on compliance with legislative and framework requirements and have the ability to interpret complex information regarding the legislative frameworks and effectively communicate to various audience groups.
Some of the key position capabilities of the role are:
Demonstrated experience in providing high quality and timely advice to senior management and staff on legislative compliance matters and demonstrated ability to interpret legislative requirements and to advise on appropriate responses.
High-level oral communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to influence and communicate effectively and work constructively with a diverse group of stakeholders and adapting communication style and message to the needs of the audience.
Demonstrated ability to identify, understand, rank and document compliance risks and provide practical options to senior management for treatment.
Specialist knowledge of relevant standards, including AS ISO 37301: 2023-Compliance Management Systems, and understanding of contemporary practices for legislative compliance in a complex environment.
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in legislative compliance in a complex or highly regulated environment.
