The Nursing Director of Nursing Informatics & Technology is a contributing member of the nursing leadership team and directly reports to the CNO. • Participates in nursing, hospital wide and Penn system wide committees as assigned by the CNO, including aligning to corporate Penn Medicine Nursing leadership structure as it relates to clinical informatics and associated technology.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:

• Represents the LG Health and the nursing department team in internal and community meetings.
• Maintains oversight of assigned projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing
• Two years of work experience with hospital IT systems, clinical informatics, and/or electronic health records
• Two years of experience in managing projects, including experience in project management methods and techniques with demonstrated sustainable outcomes.
• Demonstrated exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated project management skills and experience.
• Demonstrate political savy to work with multiple disciplines across departments, services and the LGH system
• Demonstrated skills in excel, powerpoint, EMR, databases and other software applications
• Able to work independently within defined scope/guidelines/charter

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Informatics Nursing certification.
• EPIC electronic health record experience of 2+ years

Equipment/Tools: Computer, Phone, Copier, Printer, Fax, Office Supplies

Software: Microsoft Office Products, Database Query & Report, Project Management
