We have a strong footprint in Singapore and are expanding our operations in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in China. We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth in the China market, focusing on acquiring new clients from China who are setting up their companies in Singapore and engaging jobseekers from China.
Job Overview:
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual with a solid understanding of the business landscapes in both China and Singapore. This role involves strategic planning, execution of business development initiatives, and the cultivation of long-term client relationships. The candidate will play a critical role in expanding our presence in the China market and achieving our growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically develop and manage a portfolio of clients from China while also attracting jobseekers from Singapore for various roles.
- Leverage existing client base and networks to expand market share and identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target industries, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business development strategies with company goals.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and opportunities.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and business development objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in business development or recruitment experience with a significant focus on the China market.
- Existing client base in Singapore with a proven track record of success in client acquisition and account management.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential to effectively communicate with stakeholders in both China and Singapore.
- Strong understanding of business practices and cultural dynamics in the China and Singapore markets.
- Excellent networking, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- CEI (Certificate of Employment Intermediaries) certification is preferred, highlighting a deep understanding of recruitment and employment laws.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Ability to travel to China for client meetings and business development purposes.
