Work under supervision to learn to provide autonomous expert clinical practice in clinical clerking of the patient on arrival to the unit including assessment, diagnosis and development of medical treatment plans, for a range of patients with acute, non-acute, and chronic medical conditions. This will include analysis of symptoms, initiation of interventions i.e. IV cannulation and ordering of diagnostic tests and x-rays as required, then interpret and adjust treatment regimens as appropriate. Work under supervision to learn to recognise the rapidly deteriorating patient and provide clinical interventions and prescribe the medical management plan according to clinical needs. The post holder will become a specialist in this area of care, with knowledge of minor skin surgical procedures, skin cancer conditions, treatments, and further developments. The incumbent will work closely with the global quant team and gain experience in global markets, including key aspects of how to create models to analyse various aspects of financial markets. The role sits has a high level of interaction with the global research, sales, and trading teams.

An exciting opportunity is available for both Trainee and qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioners to join our multi-disciplinary team at Wythenshawe Hospital Emergency Department, part of the Emergency Care Village Division.

Qualified practitioners will be an advanced level independent practitioner and work autonomously, using expert advanced clinical skills to diagnose, treat and discharge patients under the care of the Emergency Department.

Trainee practitioners will be supported with fully funded training to obtain your MSc in Advanced Practice. We are keen to appoint a trainee advanced practitioner with previous Emergency Department experience and clinical skills wishing to progress their career in Emergency Care.

The successful candidate will be provided with a robust induction and personal development plan to meet their professional development needs whilst working closely with the Consultant Nurse and Consultant Body.

The successful candidate will be based in the state of the art Emergency Department at Wythenshawe Hospital working between Majors, Resus, Urgent Treatment Centre for both Minor Illness and Injury, and the Children’s Emergency Unit with its own Resus room and observation area.

Advanced Clinical Practitioners will be given an educational and clinical Consultant supervisor who with the Consultant Nurse will provide guidance and feedback on a monthly basis whilst developing your portfolio, working towards credentialing and enhancing your clinical skills providing safe and appropriate patient care.

This role will be pivotal in providing clinical expertise in the delivery of the future models of care for greater Manchester.

• To perform data entry, entering client accounts, patient demographic information & order laboratory tests completely and accurately into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).

• Recognize and correct inaccurate or missing information on the laboratory requisitions

• Filling and archiving of documents.

• Assist in printing department, sorting and distributing laboratory reports on an ad-hoc basis.

• Any other ad-hoc administrative duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Willing to work 5.5 days (Mon-Sat) work week, overtime and rotating shift schedule

• Minimum GCE N & O-Level with at least 1 year of relevant call centre work experience, preferably in healthcare industry.

• Excellent phone etiquette and positive learning and working attitude

• Fluent in written & spoken English is a must
