As the Clinical Informatics Manager, you will have clinical oversight for a diverse team in the health informatics department including directly managing 3 staff. Summary

The Registered Nurse in the Clinical Care Leader (CCL) role facilitates health care services for patients in cooperation with the health care team. Demonstrates strong clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills to analyze data and appropriately respond to changing situations. Effective communication skills to collaborate, negotiate, and resolve conflicts, situations, and/or issues with peers, inter-professional colleagues, patients and families. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, clinical support staff and the public. Serves as a mentor to staff while assisting in facilitating the over-all clinic activities. Participates and may serve in leadership roles on department/organizational tasks forces and committees.

Job Description

Responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients. Responsible for the coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions. Collaborates with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting. Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure. The Sanford Professional Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct. Documents patient history, symptoms, medications and care provided in compliance with applicable standards/regulations.

Utilizes technology to enhance quality patient care, to collaborate with physicians and inter-professional team members, and effectively delegates to and supervise unlicensed personnel, assume overall nursing accountability for patient care.

Assists in conducting new staff training and orientation regarding operating rules and working standards. Supports and assists in the implementation of established performance improvement policies and trains employees on these policies. Accountable to follow up with risk management and training of clinical staff as needed. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Learns new concepts, processes and tools related to own personal development and education.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing strongly preferred. Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Minimum of two years’ clinical experience preferred.


Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Functions within the legal scope of practice.

The National Operations Service Clinical Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day clinical management of the NHS Galleri National Operations Service (NOS) clinical team, 17.0 WTE, operating in a hybrid manner across the country. The Clinical Operations Manager will be required to: Provide strong dynamic management and leadership to the NOS Clinical and non-clinical teams, to ensure robust service provision. Under the direction of the Programme Director, take a lead role in developing, implementing, and improving the clinical model to best meet the NOS requirements and support the delivery of the strategic priorities of the NHSE Multi-Cancer Blood Test Programme. Support the Programme Director to deliver high quality effective services within budget, identifying opportunities for cost improvement where possible. Work with Cancer Alliances, NHS England, Provider Trusts, and the NOS clinical team to deliver a safe and compliant programme. Under the direction of the Programme Director, support the provision of clinical data and information to ensure compliance with KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Maintain relevant data bases including GTMS and GPS. Oversee the clinical management of participants in a timely way in line with the KPIs, oversee management of the escalated call/clinical oversight. Deliver key reports as required by the Trusts performance and operational reporting requirements. Work closely with the designated executive leads to ensure delivery of robust patient safety, quality, clinical governance, and clinical risk management strategies for the required services. Act as the patients advocate, supporting them to navigate and make informed choices at all stages of the screening pathway. Support the cancer Navigators in the co-ordination of health promotion activities with local health promotion services to improve access to screening across all sections of society.
