About the team you are joining

Reporting to the Director, Settlement Risk Management, the Head, Settlement Risk Management leads, develops and manages the Settlement Risk Management team in Singapore, responsible for the execution of the risk management activities related to Agencies, Airlines and Financial Security Providers in IATA Financial Settlement Systems. The position is responsible for assuring the secure operation and delivery of risk management services, in accordance to the global Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the IATA Settlement Risk strategy and in line with the targets set by the organization and the industry, with strong internal controls, process integrity, continuous improvement and efficiency.

What your day would be like

• Responsible for the Agency and Financial Security Providers activities for companies based in Asia Pacific in addition to Airline Settlement Risk Management activities for companies in Asia Pacific and North Asia.
• Lead the Singapore-based Settlement Risk Management team to ensure all SOPs are executed in compliance and integrity adhering to IATA’s Financial Settlement Systems resolutions and regulations, global and local financial criteria and other risk assessment and mitigation policies and with the maximum operational process performance and efficiency in accordance to the established KPIs.

GENERAL OVERVIEW

The incumbent will be responsible for the close monitoring and optimization of Portfolio profitability at SLNG, dashboarding and process improvement to increase productivity within the throughput team, and supporting the budgeting process. This includes reviewing and optimizing SLNG’s on-site Gas Engine Generators and/or other assets to maximize revenue, forecasting energy price movements to craft viable strategies to maximize SLNG’s profitability, as well as tracking of profitability across SLNG’s portfolio. Detailed role responsibilities are described below.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following scope of tasks and duties:

Budgeting and forecasting

• Forecast and explain Singapore’s Energy price movements.
• Revenue expected from SLNG’s on-site Gas Engine Generators (GEGs) and/or other generation units,
• Accurately track and report SLNG’s Throughput Revenue. Explain and reconcile differences between actual and budgeted throughput demand and revenue.
• Develop reliable processes for forecasting system demand and supply by incorporating public information and market intelligence.

Dashboarding and process improvement

• Increase team efficiency across Throughput Business Group through active process improvement and automation projects.
• Create, maintain, and update automation tools and dashboards to track, analyse and report movements in LNG and Energy Markets while reducing human error.
• Analyse and suggest infrastructural upgrades where required to achieve productivity gains.

Portfolio Strategy and Optimization

• Optimizing the use of Fuel allocated from downstream customers for the dispatch of SLNG’s GEGs and/or other generation assets.
• Co-ordinate with various teams within Throughput Business Group to optimize the Annual Delivery Programme (ADP) for the SLNG terminal in accordance with the Terminal Use Agreements with the customers of the terminal and operating procedures, and in a manner that secures maximum commercial value to ship scheduling among customers and SLNG across various services.
• Monitor and evaluate regulatory changes in the gas and power markets – including key milestones and targets set by the Authority (e.g. solar, power imports, etc.), and its impact to SLNG.
• Provide constructive feedback on proposed regulatory changes and consultation papers issued by EMC and/or EMA to support growth in the gas and power market.
• Run existing models to provide valuable inputs in the determination of key parameters to be used for Throughput Operations on a year-ahead basis.

GEG Commercial Operations

• Co-ordinating with Operations team on planned generation outages to minimize impact to SLNG’s overall profitability.
• Prepare GEG’s efficiency reports for EMA and self-reports for Market Surveillance and Compliance Panel.
• Assist with bidding of generation assets into the NEMS in accordance to the relevant market rules where required.

Other Responsibilities

• The incumbent shall support all other processes and procedures and perform any other duties including reporting to internal and external stakeholders (e.g. regulator and customers, etc), and participate in any other projects as assigned by reporting manager or his delegated authority.

WORK EXPERIENCES

• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, experience in the energy industry will be considered favourably.
• Good understanding of LNG terminal operations, terminal use agreements and nominations and scheduling activities under such agreements will be an asset.
• Preferably possesses a good understanding of Singapore’s Gas Network Code and the natural gas operations in Singapore.
• Good understanding in the National Electricity Market of Singapore, system and market operations, and market rules is highly favoured.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e., A*STAR Research Institutes, A*STAR Biomedical Research Council (BMRC), A*STAR Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) and Innovation & Enterprise (I&E), Corporate Group and HQ Procurement) to forecast demand and to identify, execute new and/or existing Demand Aggregation projects in Consumables and Services to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
2. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
3. Managing a list of approved suppliers and perform as functional bridge amongst suppliers as well as internal stakeholders. Evaluate and select suppliers based on performance and quality.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a stable supply chain.
5. Coordinating the administrative tasks (i.e., business review meetings, etc) with the suppliers.
6. Preparing and populating monthly reports.
7. Participating and assisting with ad-hoc projects.

Requirements:

1. Diploma in any relevant fields with 1 - 2 years relevant experience
2. Experience in biomedical or engineering consumables purchasing is advantages
3. Possess strategic thinking skills and attention to details.
4. Strong team collaboration skills.
5. Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities :

• Plan and deploy tugboats as per MPA guidelines.
• Maximize own tug resources.
• Support 24/7 operation and planning activities.
• Process customer’s orders including amendments and cancellations.
• Monitor and ensure all job orders are covered in timely manner.

Requirements:

• GCE “O” / NITEC
• At least 2 years of working experience in the marine industry.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of local port waters will be an added advantage.
• Bilingual

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day School matters, such as inspect and identify defects, manage and supervise maintenance including external works done by contractors.
• Oversee servicing, cleaning, projects upgrading and other maintenance works.
• Prepare necessary building and procurement documentation and contracts, if applicable.
• Attend and follow-up on enquiries from stakeholders and school staff.
• Provide support for media resource services, functions and equipment.
• Provide solutions or develop plans to solve technical/maintenance issues, including sourcing for contractors.
• Maintain close and regular communications with the vendors/contractors and ensure that all works are carried out smoothly.
• Handle all security matters including the security and Fire Alarm systems.
• Liaise with security personnel/organization with regards to all security matters.
• Assist in the booking for the various venues/facilities
• Provide simple repair jobs to minor electrical, carpentry and other works, etc
• Report & oversee all Repair/Maintenance work required daily
• Assist in all school events
• Manage the custodians
• Assist in the administration/preparation of onsite projects.
• Manage feedback/complains and report to the Estate Manager.
• Assist in handling queries from parents etc
• Any other duties assigned by the Estate Manager.

Job Requirements:

• NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Building or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in property or facilities management, facilities engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of vendor management for specialized services.
• Able to work independently as well as a team player and able to work, troubleshoot and resolve problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess good discipline and working attitude with a customer-oriented mindset.
