Leidos is seeking a Project Analyst to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team. In this role you will support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Eastern Service Area (ESA) providing analytical and scheduling support for projects to establish and modernize air traffic control facilities. This job is based in Atlanta, Georgia, at the FAA Southern Regional Office.
Project Analyst Primary Responsibilities:
- Support a broad array of project management analysis and support to engineers and managers using FAA project planning documents and the Corporate Workplan system (schedules, costs, resources).
- Track the progress of many related projects using checklists and corporate data tools. Discuss status updates and analyze the change impact to the existing facilities and adjacent projects. Report status and discuss recommendations.
- Retrieve detailed project reports from the FAA Corporate Workplan system including project schedules, milestones, costs, completion exception lists and other data. Distribute customized reports to managers and engineers showing needed updates and timeframes. Follow-up with engineers to obtain updated information.
- Organize project planning meetings and assist in preparation of presentation materials and tracking action items.
- Maintain project planning information such as project requirements, planning checklists, equipment lists and locations information.
- Assist in setting up project schedules based on generic activity networks by customizing activity durations, dependencies, resource loading, sub tasks, and key dates.
- Update project schedules based on information from managers and engineers by revising activity dates and durations, resources, etc. Provide feedback on update timeliness and data validity.
- Analyze the effect of schedule revisions and advise stakeholders of the impact to project completion expectations and potential scheduling conflicts. Highlight impacts to the critical path. Recognize and point out conflicts between projects, such as implementing adjacent locations in the same timeframe.
- Support the closure of projects by tracking physical and financial closure items.
- Prepare and maintain a desk guide specific to tasks.
- Provide monthly and semi-annual performance status reports.
Project Analyst Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Four years of experience managing projects, including managing schedules and making presentations to stakeholders or 2 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree.
- Ability to analyze data in enterprise systems like the FAA Corporate Workplan, Tableau and SharePoint.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to analyze and manipulate data in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00
