The Electrical Engineer is a critical role within the HP Hybrid Solutions (Poly) team. Working with a global design team, this position drives execution on all aspects of the electrical design of new videoconferencing products over multiple projects with outsourced development partners. Responsibilities:

Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects in the electrical hardware design organization.

Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field.
Typically 8+ years of experience, including at least 5 years of experience in developing mass-produced electrical hardware and 2-3 years of experience in leading system development activities.
Knowledge and Skills:
High competency with electrical design tools and software packages.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in overall architecture of electronic hardware for products and solutions; experience with conferencing equipment (audio and/or video) is highly preferred.
Must be proficient at designing and integrating electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms into an overall architecture to create high-value solutions.
Evaluating and proposing forms of empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designs and thermal/emissions management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in both English and Mandarin languages.

Develop and implement test standards, processes, tools and methodologies (like test case, testers, test devices, test tools & planning/schedule) over multiple projects; partners with engineering teams to establish testing requirements and test plans with high level of testing competence. And this is a MUST.
Communicate the testing status during whole development phase, like test progress, critical/blocked issues, resolutions and specific features with project system team or internal management team.
Translate all requirements into executable daily operation with ODM project team; remote lead the project team and do knowledge transfer to them.

What you'll be doing
You’ll be joining CIBC’s HR Technology Team. You’ll be at the heart of CIBC’s HR support, successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects involving multiple back-end systems, and integration with SaaS vendor applications. As an Application Consultant, you’ll assemble, implement and maintain flexible, and personalized solutions that enhance the HR business and user base. You’ll be the Tech lead responsible for the planning and strategy for the technical design, development and integration of these applications.

How you'll succeed
Design and development - Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities. Design the application's technical integration. Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions. Support various SaaS integration from SSO to file integrations, support Azure Data Factory.
Strategic planning - Participate in multiple complicated projects involving backend systems, new technology, and the enhancement of existing applications.
Leadership skills - Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.
