The Marketing Science Manager is responsible for the Marketing Science team as an internal consultancy that helps Asda to grow by sharing insight that will help optimise Asda marketing, analyse historic media investment performance and what that could mean for future projections and to challenge ourselves, our colleagues and agencies.



The customer is at the heart of everything we do - you'll produce actionable insights that helps drive the business forward and you'll be involved in a variety of asks - understanding market trends, consumer trends and data sources, and then use the findings to advise some of our biggest business decisions. Your Role

You will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the business to take important business questions and, through data analysis, deliver timely, accurate and actionable outcomes which can be applied to support commercial leadership.

-Be a key driver of insight, modelling & analytics across the team and wider business providing a data led approach to decision making and strategic activity deployment through robust measurement.

-Lead the creation and maintenance of appropriate marketing key performance indicators, ROI models, and predictive models for trial activity to determine effectiveness, provide optimisation recommendations, and influence marketing/trail activity.

-Ensure all stakeholders are fully engaged with key measurement science deliverables: econometrics, testing and forecasting, campaign measurement, communicating key insights to the business in a tailored, collaborative and compelling manner.

-Run advanced and predictive analyses and perform model assessments, validation, and enhancement activities, using predictive analytics' software tools and functionalities.

-Create complex algorithms that identify patterns in structured data through supervised and unsupervised techniques to quantify the value to the business.

-Manage trial preparation in collaboration with different stakeholders/internal clients in the business, contributing to the design and creation of robust strategies without bias or prejudice.

-Lead execution of complex reports, identifying and interpreting complex patterns and trends, and translating those insights into actionable recommendations.

-Directly motivate your team whilst also acting with leadership to indirectly motivate those in the wider function

-Capable of working with non-technical end users to interrogate a business process or current tool to understand requirements and opportunities

-Manage stakeholder engagement, create and scope clear project deliverables as well as setting timelines through continuous communication

-Influence a range of senior and non-senior stakeholders to deliver an objective requiring the ability to debate and reason with logic and fact whilst thinking holistically



About you:

-Measurment analytics experience in a highly data-driven, analytical environment

The Challenges:

• Manage and ensure the PLO team captures all new enquiries (calls, email, online leads, walk-in’s etc.) in the CRM system from the date of receipt

• Mentor the PLEs during school tours to ensure they are promoting the school in the right light i.e. curriculum, stories, facts etc
• Ensure that the school website has accurate and up-to-date information
• Support all media and brand and marketing events and requests
• Update the AI bot templates on a regular basis to keep them relevant and use campaigns from time to time to remarket and enhance conversions

What it Takes:

• Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood,Business Administration or equivalent is advantageous

Experience and qualifications
• Actuarial Science degree;
• Have commenced and completed at least 50% of studies necessary to be admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA) or equivalent (e.g., FIA – United Kingdom);
• Two years’ experience in the financial services industry, applying actuarial studies in one or more of the following areas: Life insurance, Superannuation funds or pensions (Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution arrangements), Annuities, Investment management;

About the Role

Complete the production of Economic Capital with local business unit review and support Group consolidation. Further provide assistance in completing various Economic Capital related projects

Roles and Responsibilities:

Economic Capital production

• Produce and review Economic Capital for 1-2 business units and Group consolidated result

We are looking for someone to support:

• RBC2- related implementation including the RBC 2 capital projection model, Matching Adjustment portfolio testing and analyses, coordinate with Investments for interest rate swap, internal credit rating system initiatives, and other capital-related initiatives.
• Other key areas, e.g., ORSA, industry wide stress tests, Dynamic Capital Adequacy Testing (DCAT), local capital plan to support the business plan team, SAA review and determination, and new product pricing support in terms of the capital testing.
• UL/IUL Crediting rate and Hedging Efficiency monitoring.

Nice to Haves:

• Good progress of actuarial exams.
• At least 5 years of working experience.
• Knowledge of Singapore market and regulations.
• Knowledge of AXIS software is preferable.
• Good knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
• Team player oriented as well as can follow-up tasks independently.
• Good Analytical skill and critical thinking

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Manager in the Actuarial team, you will be assisting and leading the delivery of a wide range of client engagements, leading or working as part of a project team, relating to IFRS 17, Appointed Actuary work, actuarial valuation, pricing and product development, actuarial modelling, Merger & Acquisitions (M&A) and due diligence. You will also be performing evaluation in areas related to financial risk, product distribution and capital issues. You will also work with advanced financial modeling approaches and systems, e.g. designing valuation and Asset Liability Management (ALM) frameworks.

To Qualify for the role, you must have

• Minimum 6 years of experience in the life actuarial team or an actuarial consulting firm.
• Newly or Nearly qualified with either the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK), the Society of Actuaries (US) or the Institute of Actuaries of Australia
• Good knowledge of Prophet software
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Depth of experience in at least one of the following areas:

- financial modeling

- financial and regulatory reporting

- product and distribution strategy

- ERM / Solvency II

- M&A due diligence
