Support the General Manager and thereby the Deputy Head of Operations, to operationally manage service resources. Develop robust management of capacity, waiting lists, reporting and efficiency metrics. Work closely with the Nursing, Admin, Advanced Health Practitioners and Clinical teams to ensure the smooth running and efficient use of the imaging resource. Provide clear and concise data and information on the use of imaging lists to increase understanding of efficiency by all stakeholders. Support of the General Manager and thereby the Deputy Head of Operations, to manage the operational aspects of the service encompassing the management of all resources and the monitoring and achievement of agreed performance objectives within the context of National and Trust frameworks. In conjunction with Heads of Service and Matrons and in support of the General Manager and CMG Team to consider, plan and implement change to ensure continuous service and efficiency improvements to enhance the patient care services provided by Imaging. To manage Catering staff including workload management _and to co-ordinate disciplinary, grievance, capability and sickness absence procedures in line with Trust Policies. To lead and manage direct reports so that they are motivated, appropriately trained and developed to deliver a professional approach and empowered with the responsibility of managing their teams. Promote and maintain good professional working relationships through the catering team and other services. Ensure that optimum staffing levels throughout the catering services are maintained at all times. This included the preparation and distribution of duty rotas, considering planned activities and staff absences. To identify staff training needs and ensure on the job training and corrective coaching as appropriate and to evaluate the effectiveness of this training To be responsible for ensuring staff are trained to a high level and that they are monitored on a regular basis. To manage and advise on all staff rotas and annual leave requests, ensuring all absences are recorded Ensure all staff receive an annual appraisal, work to agreed objectives with agreed personal development plans and are assessed and managed for their competency and performance in line with mandatory requirements. This post holder will act as deputy to the Deputy Director - Financial Services as necessary. The post holder will have line management responsibility for specific levels of staff in the financial services section of the finance department. The postholder will be responsible for upholding financial governance policy and procedure. The postholder will be responsible for the management of the ICBs authorisation procedures by the management of the authorised signatories list. This will involve ensuring that all transactions are appropriately authorised prior to their action. KEY TASKS Reports and Funding To lead on monitoring and reporting on the funding status of CDS UKs patients, keeping CDS UKs core team updated regularly, including alerting relevant case managers where funding is due to come to an end. To develop positive working relationships with commissioners, both informing them of current patient progress and identifying areas for service improvement. To review when clinical progress reports are due to be sent to commissioners and other relevant parties, working to create a reporting schedule which, where appropriate, correlates with timescales for the renewal of funding, and alerting case managers when reports are becoming due or are overdue. To draft funding submissions and seek funding authorisation for assessments, maintaining accurate detailed records on progress. To monitor performance against the standard operating procedure for this area and associated targets, drawing issues to the attention of the Director of Business & Operations, clinicians involved in referrals, and other members of the core team where appropriate. - Take a lead role in the procurement processes relating to contracts for Place directorate
- Ensure that all contracts are compliant with legislative and other regulatory prescriptions
- Ensure that Thurrock Borough Council, as a Waste Disposal Authority, complies with all Government prescriptions, guidance and regulations.
