The Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) is Singapore's national institute for applied solar energy research. The PV Modules for Urban Solar Cluster (PVM) main R&D activities are in the development of PV module prototype and technologies for building integration and various urban solar applications, Advanced and pre­normative characterization methods for PV modules; Potential-induced degradation (PIO) and other reliability studies. The Cluster operates an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory for PV module testing and a PV module fabrication pilot line. This role is for a research engineer in the module characterization and reliability group to assist in the development of new characterization tools and testing methods for novel PV modules, and in support of SERIS main flagship research, in perovskite-tandems, floating PV and BIPV. A second role is to assist in lab operations and module testing for industry projects. The role will require a good understanding of PV cell and module performance factors, characterization methods and measurement methodology. Familiarity with common PV degradation issues and methods for accelerated testing will be a plus. What you'll be doing:

• Keep up to date with the latest AI research in the area of real-time inference, generative content, animation and language models.

• Apply existing research to real world problems in game development.

• Collaborate with applied research teams to bring the latest AI technology to real products.

What we need to see:

Responsibilities

• The candidate will be required to perform electrical testing, test data analysis & automation across SiC power and RF/mmWave GaN devices.
• The candidate hands-on characterization work will encompass from low voltage I-V/C-V to high voltage breakdown, switching performances for SiC, and DC & high-frequency characterizations for RF/mmWave regime.
• The candidate must have hands-on experienced in handling Keysight 4156C and B1500A/Keithley K4200 Device Analyzer, B1505A High Power Device Analyzer with N1265A UHC Fixture and Keysight 4284A/4285A and E4908A LCR Meter independently on their own.
• It will be a plus if the candidate has knowledge of instrumentation control using LabView and some other software like Python, C++ etc .
• The candidate is required to have at least some basic semi-conductor knowledges of semi-conductor devices like P-N Junction, Diodes, CMOS etc.
• The candidate can be exposed to process and device design/simulation with commercial TCAD tools (e.g. Silvaco Victory Process and Victory Device, Sentaurus Process and Device, etc) as part of the learning development and eventually be working on wide bandgap devices team.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Implementing, optimizing, and benchmarking state-of-the-art sparsity and quantization algorithms on real-world AI models running on ground breaking hardware.

• Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and research teams to assess and adopt deep learning algorithmic advancements in sparsity and quantization

• Provide engineering support to customers using innovative HW and SW approaches

• Work closely with production teams to develop and integrate the latest deep learning approaches into state-of-the-art libraries and frameworks

What We Need to See:

• A minimum of a Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Math or a related field, or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of relevant software development experience

• A strong foundation in deep learning, specifically in quantization, numerics, and sparsity
