What you'll need to succeed
The appointed candidate will be a confident teacher with Qualified Teacher Status. Hays welcomes more experienced teachers as well as ECT's who are confident working with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and/or challenging behaviour.

Dance Teacher

Start date: May

End date: End of academic year

Subject: Dance at KS3 with some Year 10 classes

Timetable: Full Time

We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' Secondary school in West Leicestershire who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Dance Teacher to start in May. This is a full-time position until the end of the academic year. To be successful, you will be a Dance Teacher with recent experience teaching across Key Stage 3 and 4.

Job Description

• Delivering engaging and creative Dance lessons to students in Key Stages 3 with some occasional Year 10 classes
• Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
• Contributing to the development of the department's curriculum.
• Participating in extracurricular activities such as sports clubs and school trips.

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Dance or related field
• Recent experience teaching Dance at secondary school level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
