Job Description

• Provide legal support on all aspects of investment projects in APAC, including the preparation of term sheets, selection and instructing external counsel in connection with negotiations.
• Prepare legal documents and support the business units.
• Support legal matters and its group companies in APAC including business operations, licensing, permits, compliance and other businesses.
• Conduct legal research and provide updates to the legal team as well as business divisions across AP region.

The Successful Applicant

• Singapore qualified lawyer with at least 4PQE in a law firm and/or in-house environment.

Working for a successful law firm who have offices based all over Somerset.
We currently have 2 roles available for Legal Assistant/ Secretaries for this organisation. One for the Family department and the other for the Conveyancing department.
Both roles are full-time permanent, paying £23k.
Working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. 35 hours per week.

Your new role
Both roles will require the duties below. However, the family secretary role will be based in the Taunton office. However, the conveyancing/ private client secretary will be required to travel to most of their offices during the working week, which are all within local travelling distance-the cost of the travel will either be reimbursed or a company car provided. This info is currently being looked into.
To provide both clerical and administrative support to fee earners, either as part of a team or individually.
The role plays a vital part in the administration and smooth running of the business. Secretaries are involved with the coordination and implementation of office procedures and may be responsible for specific tasks or projects and, in some cases, oversee and supervise junior staff.

This is a temporary fixed term position to cover maternity leave of an employee.

Primary functions:

· Reporting to the VP - Legal , the candidate will assist in all the Legal & Secretariat affairs of the Group’s regional businesses and companies;

· Manage record keeping for all legal-related correspondence and documentation including hard copy, soft copy and data room indices

· Key point of contact for all external corporate secretarial service providers for the Group on cost effective basis, and to coordinate corporate secretarial and legal matters across jurisdictions

Secondary Functions:
