Position Summary: The Senior Sales Manager is a key member of the hotel's sales and marketing team, responsible for generating business from corporate accounts and travel agents to achieve overall sales targets and objectives outlined in the Sales & Marketing Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
· Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and other potential clients.
Sales Targets:
· Set and achieve sales targets as outlined in the Sales & Marketing Plan.
· Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
Client Relationship Management:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
· Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries and concerns.
Proposal and Contract Negotiation:
· Prepare and present proposals to clients, showcasing the hotel's offerings.
· Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to secure business agreements.
Market Research:
· Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and industry trends.
· Provide regular feedback to the management team on market conditions and competitor activities.
Sales Presentations:
· Deliver effective sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting the hotel's unique selling points.
· Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote the hotel.
Collaboration with Internal Departments:
· Coordinate with various internal departments, such as operations and reservations, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
· Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
Sales Reporting:
· Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the management team.
· Analyze sales performance and propose strategies for improvement.
Budget Management:
· Manage the sales budget effectively, ensuring that expenses are within approved limits.
· Provide input into the budgeting process based on market insights.
Team Leadership and Training:
· Lead and mentor junior members of the sales team.
· Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
· Minimum 4 years experience and above
· Proven experience in hotel sales, with a focus on corporate accounts.
· Strong understanding of the hospitality industry and market trends.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
· Results-oriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Candidates with more than 4 years experience and with team lead skills will be considered for senior position.
Candidates with minimum one year experience will be considered for junior position.
