DevOps Alignment

  delivery team adoption of Continuous Delivery principles.

Implement Agile Methodology

• Implement the Agile process, principles and practices across all departments in the organization, by using techniques that promote a culture of experimentation and innovation.
• Embody the Agile principles and leads by example.
• Establish a Centre of Excellence on Agile/ DevOps practices.
• Establish Agile Technical DevOps training curriculum suitable for the organization.

Requirements

• Degree with minimum of 5 years’ experience of software development in Agile teams exposed to either SCRUM, XP or Kanban methodology.
• Significant delivery experience in both web development and/or mobile system development and testing.
• Strong in coding on a mixture of different programming languages such as Java, JavaScript.
• Strong proponent of clean code principles and software craftsmanship.
• Strong in code branching concepts, and execution for different enterprise adoption scenarios.
• Good exposure to enterprise architectural design standards.
• Familiar with development and deployment onto cloud platform.

About the team

Working as part of the Year 11/12 Transition Service you will support young people at risk of becoming NEET (not in employment, education or training) to identify progress to an appropriate post-16 destination. This will involve liaising with parents/carers, schools, further education and training providers, employers and other relevant professionals. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of young people, recording interventions and reporting on progress.

The role will contribute to the local authority's statutory duty to enable, assist and encourage young people to participate in education and training up to the age of 18. This will be achieved through supporting personal development, including helping young people through challenging issues related to relationships, home life and academic stress.

Due to the recognition of post 16 looked after children requiring additional support, funding from DFE has been provided to expand our provision. As the current team is expanding, we now require a more senior position available to help provide the support across the team members.

About the role

The role will involve working with young people looked after by Surrey County Council and their guardians to secure a sustained post-16 education or training destination. You will also line-manage Personal Coaches.

This role will involve building positive and professional relationship with young people to enable support with careers education, information, advice and guidance and work-related learning, using action plans to support progress towards goals. Engagement will involve meeting young people at their homes or in the community as necessary to offer support through one-to-one or small group sessions, using appropriate aptitude tests, skills assessment tools, psychometric testing and personal inventories.

In this role you will support young people to identify and progress towards a suitable education or training destination in line with their duty to participate until the age of 18.

This will involve researching careers options and support to meet young people's needs and keeping up-to-date with labour market, legislation, and professional and academic developments. Where relevant this will include visiting employers, further education and training providers and attending events run by educational and professional bodies. This extends to accompanying young people to engage and attend essential activities to support and being present and/or available on exam results day.

The role will include the supervision, performance conversations and overview of Personal Coaches. You will lead by example and maintain accurate case records and assessments and action plans, ensuring reviews are undertaken to a high quality and in a timely manner on all cases.

The Role of Set Piece Coach
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation and review of our offensive set piece strategy, including corners kicks, free kicks and throw ins from all areas of the pitch.

Main Accountabilities
• Take ownership for maintaining and improving the Brentford FC Set Piece Play Book.
• Be responsible for embedding the set piece principles based on the Play Book into the first team squad, via on the grass coaching, team and group analysis sessions, and one-to-one analysis and coaching with individual players.
• Analyse upcoming first team opponents and design strategies to maximise our set piece output against those opponents, aligned to our set piece principles.
• Working with the head coach, design the training week to ensure that sufficient coaching time goes into working with the players on the grass to finalise the set piece strategy for the next opponent.
• Ensure that all set piece coaching is high energy, engaging, detailed and clear for the players.
• Take a lead role on match days to provide clear information to the players before and during the game, and analyse our opponents defensive set piece set-up to ensure real-time adjustments are made to our strategy in order to maximise our opportunities and make use of our key strengths.
• Review our set piece performance after every game and feedback to staff and players about our strengths and weaknesses.

Responsibilities:

• To foster the growth of inline skating as a safe & fun activity for people of all ages.
• To take part in lesson planning and be able to provide constructive feedback for learners
• To plan, coach, monitor, assess and grade student progress on an ongoing basis
• To understand the importance of maintaining our rental equipments and teachingmaterials
• Take part in the planning of logistics and administrative tasks of running an inline skatingschool
• To build a dynamic community of inline skaters in Singapore.
• Planning of bi-yearly event such as Night Skating, Skating in Urban Conditions, SkateCamps and more.

Requirements:

• Has coaching experience in any sport.
• Does not need to know how to skate as training is provided.
• Sport related qualifications or certifications preferred.

On a typical day as an In-Work Support Coach you might be:  

• Ensuring all placed clients are supported and contacted, at least fortnightly; 
• Identify areas where alternative or additional training is required and facilitate this support where appropriate;  
• Tracking all placements and maintaining up-to-date records; 
• Providing on the job support to participants and employers to ensure Participants maintain sustainable and ongoing employment; 
• Liaising with employers, clients, and other team members to assist clients to maintain their employment;  
• Assisting with management of claims; 
• Escalating risks or concerns through appropriate channels; and 
• Ensuring our clients, employers and those we work with, receive exceptional service at every stage of the process.
