About the unit
4 South is a 44 bed Progressive Neurosurgical unit located in Butterworth. In this role you will be instrumental in the care of general neurology and neurosurgical patients. Our neurosurgical patients are highly complex. We care for spine surgery patients, patients who have undergone craniotomy and craniectomy for brain tumor resection, removal or debulking and elective aneurysm interventions. Our general neurology patients include those who have experienced acute, stroke, seizure, chronic headaches and general neurological disorders including Guillen-Barre Syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and myasthenia gravis exacerbations.

Job Summary
We're recruiting a highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider to join our dynamic inpatient APP team. This team consists of 20 APPs who provide critical care level cardiovascular medicine primarily in the inpatient setting. Our APP teams function collaboratively with our physician colleagues in a team based care model to provide high level cardiac care.
Functions in the role of advanced practitioner to coordinate comprehensive care delivery. Writes orders/prescriptions for standard formulary medications, laboratory, radiographic studies and consultations, coordinating the scheduling of admissions, diagnostic evaluations, follow-up exams, laboratory tests, referrals to home care, social services, and other community agencies, etc., in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services.

6 Meijer Heart Center (6 Heart) is a 46-bed cardiac and vascular progressive/stepdown unit at the Meijer Heart Center. The primary patient population served include patients with various cardiac and vascular diseases requiring medical, procedural, or surgical interventions. 6 North is a 38 bed Cardiovascular unit that specializes in caring for adult patients with Heart Failure, cardiac dysrhythmias, newly implanted pacemakers and defibrillators, LVAD readmits, pulmonary hypertension and cardiac conditions requiring medical treatment. Most patients receive continuous telemetry monitoring. Care is provided 24 hours per day 7 days a week.

The Neurosciences Service Line at Spectrum Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our growing Neurosurgery APP team. As West Michigan’s leading neuroscience referral center, and one of the largest providers of adult neuroscience services in the state, the Neurosurgery department functions within our multidisciplinary team to provide quality care, research, and education within the clinical neurosciences.

Corewell Health West's Women's Health Department is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants or Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) to join our growing team at Corewell Health Butterworth’s OB Triage unit/Core Faculty Team. We have added hours and are now recruiting for a .9 FTE, which is considered full time for benefits. Our 11-bed triage unit provides excellent basic and emergent obstetric care to patients >20 weeks within one of the busiest obstetric units in the country. Our APP run unit allows independent assessment and treatment with a safety net of inpatient physicians nearby.

This is a Weekends Only role. Its full time and consists of two 12-hour shifts on the weekend and one additional shift during the week. RNs will receive an additional $10 per hour plus their base pay. The $10 per hour will only be applied to the weekend shifts the RN works. If the RN is a full-time (3)12s a week RN, the stipend will apply to the two shifts on the weekend and not on the third weekday shift. This $10 per hour will be combined with shift differentials as well as other special codes. RNs will be required to work 48 out of 52 weekends per calendar year. Weekends are defined as Friday and Saturday night for night shift. RNs can request up to 48 hours of PTO on their weekend shifts as well as 48 hours of exchanging a weekend shift for a weekday shift, for a total of 96 hours ‘off’ of the weekend requirement. This would be given in accordance with unit guidelines with allotted PTO as well as peak times, etc. RNs may request 1 holiday off per calendar year that falls on the weekend. The RN would only work the holiday if it fell on the weekend, they will not be moved off a weekend to work on a holiday.
