Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.

The Senior Analyst, Market Research for Abbott Neuromodulation based in Austin, TX will interact closely with product marketing, finance, and enterprise accounts. Performs primary and/or secondary market research. Provides insights to inform commercial strategy and sales enablement. Research and analyses internal and external trends, and conditions to inform commercial strategy. Performs analyses in the areas of product preferences, market size and opportunity, sales tactics, and trends, and prepares forecasts and recommendations. Compiles and analyzes statistical data on past sales and share trends, to forecast future trends. Gathers data on competitors and provides competitive intelligence. Collects and maintains information on the requirements, organization, budget, and preferences of prospective customers. Prepares presentations to management on matters concerning strategic planning and changing business environment. Organizes information to assist in analyzing future products/services and makes recommendations on long term strategy. Provides impact reporting and shares experiences from various projects with leadership team.
What You’ll Work On
- Manages primary and secondary market research projects with input and supervision from manager.
- Works with internal customers to define scope and objective of the project.
- Determines appropriate research methodology through discussion with team and manager.
- Leads data collection.
- Manages within budget and timelines.
- Reports on progress to manager periodically.
- Gathers data on customers' needs from various sources and support the information gathered with statistical analysis to identify variables influencing long term strategy and sales.
- Develops models for forecasting revenues based on monthly sales, share and market data.
- Develops market share and trend reports for company and competition through information gathered from various sources.
- Plays an intricate part in Plan, Update and LRP to support market, share and sales forecasts at the country and geography level, through market modeling, share projections and competitive assessments.
- Organizes information using reporting tools and develops tracking dashboards.
- Controls and monitors access to information.
- Travel: 10-20%
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2-4 years of related work experience with a complete understanding of specified functional area, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge and application business concepts, procedures, and practices.
- Uses in-depth knowledge of business unit functions and cross group dependencies/relationships.
- Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
