Asian Thoracic Oncology Research Group (ATORG) is the coordinating platform for translational research for thoracic malignancies in Asia. Its mission is to advance medical knowledge of lung cancer and improve health outcomes of patients through clinical studies and scientific events.

Asia Pacific Oncology Drug Development Consortium (APODDC) was formed to foster education and collaboration between key stakeholders of cancer drug development within the Asia Pacific region, thereby improving treatment access to patients. APODDC drives regional activities in collaboration with institutions in the region and industry partners.

ATORG and APODDC operate centrally under the Clinical Trials and Epidemiological Sciences (CTE) division in National Cancer Centre Singapore.

The Senior / Executive will mainly organise events for ATORG and APODDC . The types of events include, but are not limited to, virtual, hybrid and in-person advisory board meetings, educational seminars and workshops. This role provides opportunities to interact internationally with healthcare institutions, industry partners and vendors, and manage key stakeholders at a regional level.

Main Responsibilities:

Organise events (80%)

• Responsible for managing events from startup to execution
• Communicate effectively and manage internal and external stakeholders and service providers
• Plan timeline for each event
• Draft budget, including sourcing of funding and reconciliation of funding and expenses
• Handle all logistics, inclusive of procurement (eg. venue, online/travel arrangements) and on-site management during event
• Develop marketing materials such as posters and collaterals and for social media
• Write meeting minutes, if required
• Administer pre- and post-event follow ups
• Manage agreements between key stakeholders, vendors and industry partners
• Manage manuscripts from drafting to publication.

ATORG Operations (10%)

• Manage operational duties of ATORG; this includes procurement of stationery and devices, collating of department information, updating of mailing list.
• Act as a liaison for department administrative matters

Other Duties (10%)

• Assist in any other work as assigned, which may include administrative tasks

Your main duties will include:

The Associate Clinical Research Coordinator (ACRC) shall assist all levels of Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs and above), in coordinating clinical research.

The ACRC has to ensure that trial- related work is conducted and recorded in accordance with the protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines, all applicable regulatory requirements and the Clinical Trials Office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as instructions from her superiors.

You will support and assist in the following trial related activities:

• Take over trials that have completed treatment phase or trials that involve few simple procedures.
• Data collection and management including resolving data discrepancies, tracking of trial expenditures and timely invoicing (where applicable), etc.
• Administering quality of life questionnaires or any other surveys as and when required.
• Performing trial procedures which include taking and recording patients’vital signs performing ECGs; collecting data; other trial-related procedures.
• Collection and delivery of biological specimens eg blood, urine and tissues whenever necessary.
• Inventory of study materials such as laboratory kits, patient diaries and case report forms to ensure adequate supplies are maintained to conduct the trials.
• Collection of medical records or duplicate radio-diagnostic films and ensuring that the items are collected in accordance with specific request forms.
• Managing the Clinical Trials Office’s Medical Records Trolley and the transportation of medical notes in the Trolley between Medical Records Office and the Clinical Trials Office. The ACRC shall also assist other CTO staff to obtain medical notes and other source documents.

The Research Officer will oversee the progress of the research study under the supervision of the Principal investigator. They will perform a variety of research activities which include planning and execution of experiments for functional validation, leading up to a scientific publication.

Main Duties:

1. Tissue Logistics

• Tracking of biological samples received in the lab pertaining to the study
• Collection of patient samples (FFPE, Tissue, WBC,DNA or RNA) from Pathology
