Education

Summary

As Project Controls Analyst, you will serve as a trusted financial resource for construction projects and the primary liaison between operations and corporate finance. This highly visible and fast-paced position is charged with financial reporting, compliance, and processing responsibilities over projects ranging in size from $20 million to $1 billion in contract value.

Responsibilities

As a Quality Control Manager, you will ensure the project is built within contract document specifications, owner requirements, and comply with local, state, and federal building codes. You will coordinate with other trades, process daily reports of project progress and adhere to all guidelines issued by the owner. As a strong communicator, you will help to build a quality control team that is open, transparent, and delivers excellence.  

 

Responsibilities

• Partner with the project team to understand, plan, and implement the contract drawings and specifications

• Collaborate  with the owner, design team, and contractors to ensure quality and timeliness of project construction and completion

• Implement and manage the “Three Phases of Control” Quality Control Plan

• Oversee submittal review and approval

• Schedule and conduct quality control meetings - Preparatory, Initial Phase, Follow-up

• Control documents related to quality control functions

• Establish testing procedures in accordance with contract specifications

• Manage inspections process

• Coordinate third party testing agents and interface with the Owner’s representatives as required

• Closely track and maintain a project deficiency log

• Manage the punch list process

• Oversee project closeout deliverable process-training, O&Ms

• Confer directly with the executive management team

Summary

 As a Superintendent, you will leverage your capacity for innovation and problem-solving to lead field operations to ensure an exceptional project is delivered to our clients. You will oversee self-performed and contracted work ensuring compliance with contract documents and the project schedule while also implementing a culture of safety and quality.  

Responsibilities

• Oversee the timely and quality installation of contracted work of either a total project or a particular scope, trade contractor, or portion of a project

• Implement a culture of safety and quality among Clark employees and  trade contractors and conduct regular safety inspections to ensure all work conditions are in compliance with company, contract, and government regulations 

• Create and manage a plan to successfully sequence work, manage jobsite logistics, and track materials and personnel

• Ensure a high quality of work consistent with project and company standards

• Takes initiative and personal responsibility to deliver a project on schedule and on budget

• Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule and exhibit a command of critical schedule milestones with all project stakeholders

• Manage, mentor, and develop team members to build a high functioning team

Basic Qualifications

• Experience building high-rise residential, mixed-use, or higher education projects successfully from start to finish.

• 2+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams

• In-depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel

• Demonstrated experience leading field operations and communicating plans effectively across multiple audiences 

• Working knowledge of applicable safety and building regulations (i.e., OSHA)

Your expertise will be crucial in providing advice and guidance on complex building issues arising from client losses.

Where: Homebased role, based in and around Birmingham, Leicester or Coventry

Day to Day tasks

- Providing technical advice,
- Writing reports
- Capturing specifications and scopes
- Preparing tender documentation
- Managing procurement
- Overseeing contract administration.
- Referrals for work from our own adjuster teams as well as third-party adjusters/insurers
- You will be responsible for losses over £50,000, overseeing the entire process from engagement to completion.

- Working independently but as part of a home-based UK team, you will be responsible for your own portfolio of work.
- The work will involve repairs caused by all the major perils but mainly, fire, flood, escape of water and impact and all types of domestic buildings and some commercial property.
- Responsible for producing a quality service to internal and external loss adjusters and insurer clients following internal processes.
- Being a building construction technical referral point for the CCA team, including confirming and validation repair costs.
- Running own caseload of high value/complex property repairs, including conducting site visits and assessments to establish the extent and value of domestic and commercial damage and repairs.
- Provide support to our adjusters – assistance with scope reviews, structural engineers report reviews/ queries, loss assessor scopes, tenders, joint site visits, project management.

What we need from you:

- Must hold BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent
- RICS or CIOB desirable or working towards
- Experienced Surveyor
- Specialist experience in a related subject would be an advantage.
- Extensive and demonstrable property claims insurance experience is an advantage.
- A good level of construction industry experience/knowledge, including cost is required.

Coordinates the documentation of new and renovation projects to assure compliance with codes, AMC procedures and efficient utilization of space. Familiarity with architectural, engineering and construction terminology is helpful. Interacts with various internal department professionals and staff, as well as outside architects, engineers, construction managers.

Operations and Activities
Prepare, assemble and manage bid projects on file sharing site from bid initiation to contract award. Load bid documents and addendums on file sharing site during bid process.

Performs clerical and general office duties, which include processing of requisitions, check requests, purchase orders and utility bills. Files all paperwork for above either hard copy or electronic.

Must be proficient in use of all Microsoft office applications, including word, excel and access.

Manage internal electronic and hard copy programs for Engineering and Construction department such as construction log, closeout log, facility one PM system, construction files and contractor compliance programs.

Assemble and submit Environmental Documentation Checklist (EDC) and binders for Department of Health (DOH) projects.

Other related work as required.

• Associate degree in business with a minimum of two (2) years office management.
• Must be able to communicate well verbally, be very organized and self-motivated.  
• Hospital project management experience helpful.
