The Sec & Derivatives AVP is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. Execution Advisory Services (EAS) is responsible for conducting execution research, TCA, and proactive algo consultancy to help support and drive growth across our Equities Franchise.  The team sits within our NAM Electronic Execution business, working closely with Electronic Sales, Coverage, Product and Quant/Tech groups.

Markets Price Risk Data Execution team is looking for a Risk Data Execution Lead, supporting the Price Risk Transformation program. ‘Price Risk’ includes all aspects of market risk management across First Line and Second Line functions and the initiative sets out to improve and enhance risk management controls and processes across Markets businesses.

Role Context

The Volcker Rule Office (VRO) is Citi’s first line function that manages our ongoing firm-wide compliance with the Volcker Rule. Responsibilities include the design, operation and oversight of the central proprietary trading and covered fund control framework required to ensure Citi has a reasonably designed program for compliance with the Volcker Rule. Collateral Optimization Operations in Markets Operations is a newly formed growing team established to deliver best-in-class capabilities in collateral management, inventory management, risk management and collateral efficiency.

The team support global Markets businesses working across products, regions, and divisions, with a broad range of stakeholders. The objective of the team is to deliver efficient, controlled, and scalable collateral optimization, supporting cost reduction and capacity growth.

The Eligible Collateral Schedule negotiations team undertake the negotiations of eligible collateral profiles for uncleared derivatives. These would be both bilateral and triparty arrangements.

The group maintain and update negotiation templates, ensuring they continue to be compliant with applicable regulations. Additionally, the schedules need to align with credit risk tolerances, collateral optimization objectives and operational capabilities.

Transformation:

The Collateral Optimization Program for Markets is a multi-year investment initiative with a clear transformation objective. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role driving collaboration across groups, developing, and reviewing requirements, developing a target operating model, designing robust processes, and implementing new platforms.

Skills & Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred.

• 5+ years’ experience in the following: Agreement Management, CSA and Eligible Collateral Schedule Negotiations, Client Onboarding, Derivatives Confirmation Drafting, Collateral and Margin Management, with a strong appreciation of uncleared margin regulations, securities products, practices, risks, and regulations. Preferably at large financial services firm.

• Familiarity with triparty collateral management platforms (Bank of NY Mellon, Euroclear, JP Morgan, Clearstream).

• Experience operating in a sensitive client-facing position with a strong client service mind-set.

• Thinks logically and is good at problem solving. Able to understand and articulate the rules that control the negotiation of the ECS.

• Has good attention to detail. Tiny differences in contract data/wording or rules can dramatically change the meaning of data value on the systems and ability to challenge/ask questions is important.

• Able to write clearly and concisely. To present ideas and proposals to senior decision makers without technical jargon.

• Demonstrate sound judgement and a strong risk management mindset, demonstrated through implementing sound controls and processes.

• Innovative, energetic, collaborative, proactive and influential; a leader who can positively and productively provide a positive impact through both strategic and tactical delivery. Results orientated.

• Interacts well with subject matter experts with different skill sets, such as lawyers, technology, operations, risk managers & businesses who all have different expertise and focus.  An ability to eliciting information from users with different requirements and limited knowledge of the process to help support negotiation of ECS within the margin ecosystem.

Platform & Electronic Sales is responsible for the marketing and distribution of all Equities and Equities-related trading products at Citi across Cash, Derivatives, Delta One and Prime. The team is seeking a Director level Salesperson to grow and expand the US Equities Electronic business with a focus on Citi-ONE ATS.

Responsibilities:

• Market Citi-ONE ATS platform to sell side & broker dealer platforms

• Drive our execution services agenda to optimize existing client relationships and originate new execution business with deep product knowledge (Algos, DMA, ATS)
• Help distribute both new and existing datasets to institutional client base
• Coordinate with broader Cash and Prime teams to drive incremental market share gains
• Spearhead business development and relationships focused on Sell Side/BD clients across all channels (execution, custody, financing)
• Leverage and coordinate the entire Equities platform suite of capabilities to offer Retail BDs, Institutional BDs, Regional Banks and RIAs a unique and global set of services
• Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure as it relates to Citi-One ATS

• Refine and implement Sales & Marketing strategy to improve Citi's client footprint and maximize associated revenue while working with management/colleagues to establish a clear marketing plan with defined priorities, market penetration and revenue goals
• Utilize contact network to understand client needs, introduce the Citi offering, and convert clients to use various channels on the Citi Equities platform

• Forge a relationship with salespeople in order to leverage Citi's franchise and source relevant buying and selling opportunities for clients
• Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of institutional markets experience, including electronic sell-side sales experience at a bulge-bracket organization
• Deep understanding of electronic trading products
• Familiarity with electronic retail and wholesale segments
• Familiarity with US equity market structure
• Experience in a client-facing role working with the buy- and sell-side community
• Proven interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Broad client relationships preferred
• Must have or be able to obtain required licenses including Series 7, 63
• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
