We are looking for an Assistant Cook to join our Care home team at Cysgod y Gaer , Corwen.

Cysgod y Gaer aims to provide high quality needs-led residential and respite care to support older people in the Corwen area and their carers.

Working in a care home as an Assistant Cook can be quite different to some other catering positions but is still an enjoyable and satisfying place to work.

The hours are more social able, and you may have the opportunity to get to know the individuals.

The job can be a very rewarding experience working in the care home environment with steady hours and set shift patterns between the hours of 8am-5.30pm but there will be weekend working , of every other weekend on a rota basis. This is a good choice for people with a family.

The succesfull candidate will be required to provide high standeard of meal provision for Cysgod y Gaer residents , whilst maintaining the highest standards of food safety as per procedures and HACCP at all times.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Overall in-charge of the kitchen department ensuring the preparation of high quality meals in accordance to company standards, menu specification and production schedules
