Job Description: Operations Executive for Creative Arts Complex at Xinmin Secondary School

Position: Operations Executive

Location: Xinmin Secondary School, 11 Hougang Avenue 8, Singapore 538789

Contract Period: Start Date: 20th May 2024 (or after the issuance of LOA as confirmed later) End Date: 19th May 2025 (or adjusted according to the actual start date)

Working Hours:

• Mondays to Fridays: 9:30am to 6:30pm (inclusive of 0.5 hr lunch break)
• Saturdays (if there is a Reflections Theatre Booking)

Main Responsibilities:

1. Reports directly to the Operations Manager or SH/Arts Education.
2. Oversees daily operations and maintenance of the Creative Arts Complex (CAC), specifically the Reflections Theatre (RT), including dressing rooms, CCA rooms, and the VVIP room.
3. Responsible for scheduled repair and maintenance of specialized equipment within the CAC, such as sound and lighting systems, cherry pickers, retractable seats, and AV accessories within RTs, CCA rooms, and the VVIP room.
4. Provides seamless support for all activities and events held in the Reflections Theatre, both performance and non-performance-based.
5. Secondary role in providing checks and feedback as a Facilities Manager, including Indoor Sports Hall "The Arena" and "The Cage" during non-performance blocks.
6. Supports and coordinates marketing and booking of the Reflections Theatre in collaboration with the Subject Head/Arts Education.
7. Provides support to the school hall as a secondary role when necessary.
8. On non-performance blocks, provides secondary support by reporting faults at least weekly or bi-weekly to the Operations Manager for maintenance works activation.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Minimum GCE 'O' Level certificate, or an ITE certificate in related areas, or a pass Diploma in Building Services, Arts & Theatre Management, or other relevant fields.

Requirement Specifications

Scope of Coaching Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and implement a high-quality coaching program focusing on maximizing students’ participation and performance.
• Create a conducive learning environment aligned with Core Values for Student Development.
• Adhere to the Coach’s Code of Ethics set out by the relevant national governing body.
• Provide mentoring, support, and guidance to student athletes.
• Commit to continuous professional development.

• Conduct training sessions in a Hybrid format.

Coaching Requirements:

• Conduct up to 88 sessions per year, each lasting 2 hours, twice weekly.

• Demonstrate technical skills of Long Distance running.

Coaching Qualifications:

• Hold a minimum of IAAF/WA Athletics CECS Level 1 certification or equivalent.

Coaching Experience:

• Have relevant coaching experience in educational institutions or clubs of members aged 17 to 21 in the past 5 years.
