An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Integrated Medicine and Patient Flow (IMPF) Division as we look to expand our Non-Medical Consultant workforce in line with the exciting grand opening of the Acute Frailty Assessment Unit in March 2024. A business case to expand our footprint as the Acute Frailty Unit was agreed in 2023 and is in its implementation phase in readiness for opening in March.
As a Non-Medical Consultant you will work clinically in conjunction with the medical workforce. You will be a registered nurse or Allied Healthcare Professional with substantial experience.
You will be instrumental in developing our Acute Frailty Service.

The post holder will:
• Have a highly visible clinical profile, providing both advisory and clinical input into patient care, spending a minimum of 50% of time in clinical practice. The post holder will have clinical responsible for a patient group within Frailty
• Autonomously act and develop recognition for their expertise in the field of frailty and long term condition management having developed specialist clinical
• Ensure patient / client centred care and family and carer collaboration and where appropriate promote maintenance of health, wellbeing and
• Apply advanced theoretical, evidence based and practical knowledge to the clinical care of patients presenting to the Frailty pathway when delivering and shaping services.
