An established business based in Burnley, are looking to appoint an experienced Purchase Ledger / Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.
This business is continuing to expand its customer base with a number of new acquisitions, subsequently opening a number of new manufacturing sites across the North West.


Your new role
In your new role as Purchase Ledger / Accounts Assistant, you will take accountability for the purchase invoicing (with some aspects of sales ledger included) of the business, processing up to 200 invoices weekly and generating an average of 50 sales invoices weekly. You will be processing regular supplier payments, bank postings and bank reconciliation. You will be involved in supporting the Management Accountants with collating all the information as well as month end statement reconciliations.
This is a full time role, working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, you will have worked in a similar role previously and have a good accounting knowledge. Experience of working on Sage 50, or a similar Sage package would be highly preferred with strong skills on Excel.
