JOB SUMMARY
The Pharmacy Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating prescription medication care for patients across the organization and those referred to the specialized pharmacy program. The Pharmacy Care Coordinator is pharmacy’s liaison between the patient, insurance, and medical staff and is responsible for coordinating personalized patient education, documentation to enhance communication, insurance prior authorization, and/or financial assistance/indigent drug programs as appropriate.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred/Optional: Successful completion of post-secondary courses in the Microsoft Office Suite.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Three years pharmacy and medication-related managed care experience. Working knowledge of Wisconsin pharmacy law and third party pharmacy reimbursement rules. Proficient with spreadsheets, databases and the Microsoft Office suite. Experience with trouble shooting and customer service.
Preferred/Optional: Experience with legacy pharmacy software and intimate working knowledge of the Marshfield Clinic computer system.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

Minimum Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certificate awarded by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Registration/licensure must be obtained within 6 months. Registration/licensure must remain in good standing and current.

JOB SUMMARY
The Health Unit Coordinator/Emergency Department/Urgent Care Technician (HUC/ED/UCT) receives direction regarding work assignments from the Emergency Department (ED) Charge Nurse. The HUC/EDT performs direct and indirect patient care tasks and unit clerical duties to assist in the function of the medical team and to help meet patient and family needs during their time in the ED.

The Appointment Coordinator serves as an initial contact for patients and customers, in-person and via telephone, and assists them in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health Systems’ customer service standards.
