About the role
As a Specialist UI Designer, you will drive and actively create the CommSec design language. You will work closely with our UX designers, product owners and developers to design a beautifully crafted and seamless experience across our digital assets. Your team
The Digital & Customer Experience Chapter Area in CommSec comprises of UX Designers, UI Designers, Digital Product Managers and Customer Strategy experts. The team is responsible for evolving the digital experiences across web and app at CommSec.
Your core responsibilities include
Knowledge and application of Brand and tone of voice into graphical user interfaces
Design world class human centered experiences across the various digital channels and mediums
Prototype to create brand narrative as well as powerful visual storytelling to influence future direction of our experiences.
Ideate and conceptualise divergent ideas to explore solution options and converge on a subset of concepts that best solve for the identified problem space.
Development of innovative interface designs, typography, and screen layouts for web sites, and touch applications.
Actively contribute and evolve the CommSec Design Language and design system.
Create design documentation to be consumed by delivery teams in a scaled agile working environment.
Work with multiple stakeholders at varying levels of seniority to deliver the best user experiences to our target customers.
What we are looking for
Highly developed user interface and interaction design skills with applied knowledge of visual design, accessibility, responsive and scalable design
Demonstrated usage of tools such as Sketch, Zeplin, Figma and Adobe Suite
Experience in designing for native platforms in iOS, Android, and Web with working knowledge of Swift, Jetpack, React or similar
Demonstrated experience creating functional prototypes
A curious mindset with an aptitude and passion for learning new skills in analytics, content, research, and coding
An ability to confidently communicate with technical and engineering teams across multiple communication mediums to realise final execution
Demonstrated experience working with design systems including governance, maintenance, and documentation

Public Cloud Container Services team provides a Managed Kubernetes Platform, enabling CBA teams to deliver applications at high pace by leveraging the power of Kubernetes and Public Cloud.
