Specific Responsibilities

• Managing route approval processes to ensure route approvals/seasonal approvals are obtained in time to meet network plans.

• Ensure that the company complies with the regulations of the regions for intended operations as planned by the Network Planning department.

• Keep abreast with the amendments to the existing bilateral agreements or new agreements proposed with a country.

• Responsible for engaging governments, authorities and regulators both local and foreign to secure air traffic rights certification for operating new routes, charter flights, incremental frequency, ad hoc/rescue flights  for AirAsia Berhad. • Ensure the effective regulatory liaison with local authorities i.e. Ministry of Transport, Department of Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia and Malaysian Aviation Commission and/or its equivalent agencies to ensure all related approvals are obtained in time to meet network plans.

• Assisting the Ministry of Transport with preparations and strategy for Air Talks with other governments to negotiate for increased or new bilateral rights and working towards new or revised Air Services Agreements.

• Collect and validate aircraft documentation for submissions to the regulatory authorities.

• To develop and maintain relationships with Malaysian embassies/other relevant government agencies in foreign countries and similar organisations (e.g. foreign embassies) located in Malaysia.

The Social Media & Live Events Division is responsible for identifying and connecting stakeholders through modern, digital means on state-of-the-art platforms enabling the agency to educate and connect with more people through a holistic approach to FAA's digital and outreach strategy. This includes content and search marking, social media, email marketing, as well as marketing automation, animation, editing, and audiovisual in general.

Serves as the Deputy Program Manager of the Social Media & Live Events Division, AOC-500. Organizes programs, projects and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the Office of Communications (AOC). Supervises and directs the work of subordinate employees assigned to the division. Runs the day-to-day management of projects and ensures that they are completed successfully and timely. Projects include coordination of social media campaigns, social media content, content calendars, and Live Events among many other projects.

Analyzes, develops, and presents information relating to strategic messaging approaches intended to educate and inform employees and customers about organizational activities, achievements, events, and accomplishments. Information is developed in the form of live events, blogs and articles, social media, podcasts, multimedia collateral, and various executive communications on platforms for travelers and the public. Conducts all necessary research on technical and general subjects pertinent to the organization, agency, etc. as background information for the preparation of documents and reports. Develops, presents, clarifies, or edits material to develop the best approach to increase employee understanding and clarity of information based on the needs of the audience. Applies experience and expert program and project management principles and processes to serve as the safety culture program manager. As a Transportation Specialist (Grant Program Manager), you will:

• Serve as the assigned grant Program Modal Coordinator and a Point of Contact in an FHWA-assigned grant program for the Office of the Secretary (as applicable to certain grant programs).
• Engage with FHWA Headquarters units and Division Offices in States with discretionary grant projects, and with senior leadership and key staff.  Oversee a variety of projects. Represent agency views and interests on assigned grant program issues at various levels within and outside of the organization.
• Be responsible for reporting requirements for all phases of FHWA-assigned grant projects.
• Interpret discretionary grant program transportation policies and procedures.
• Analyze proposed regulations or legislation affecting assigned grant program; make recommendations on the agency’s position on the proposals and assess possible impacts on the delivery of FHWA’s grant program; develop plans, policies, guidance, and procedures related to FHWA’s administration of the assigned grant program. Implement the program and work with public and private stakeholders – as appropriate to the role -- to identify program improvement needs and methods for meeting those needs.

As a Human Resources Specialist (Pathways Program Manager), you will:

• Provides guidance to management officials regarding full range of recruitment initiatives, programs requirements to hire, promote and assure the effective placement/conversion of PMF/Pathways Program participants at the appropriate time.
• Provides a diversity of management consultant solutions concerning HR products and services.
• Partners with executives, clients/customers, and private industry resources in assessing, analyzing, and proposing change initiatives, conducting organizational needs and readiness assessments, and the development of broad HR strategic business processes and goals for change.
• Develops agency-level HR statistical and narrative reports, briefing packages, and responses to agency, DOT level and/or Congressional inquiries and correspondence involving complex HR issues.
• Reviews and analyzes recruitment requirements; makes recommendations on the number of new participants for the ensuing budget and develops hiring projections and a staffing plan based on long-range and short-term goals.
