The Value Channel Inside Presales Technical Consultants (or “TC” in short) play a critical role as trusted advisors to our customers and business partners with technical answers and recommendations, plus consultancy and advice.

The Value Channel Inside Presales Technical Consultant role is an Specialist level Technical Presales role in the commercial channel organization. This role provides technical presales support on the HP value portfolio of Personal Systems products and software solutions, including Workstations, Mobile Workstations, Thin Clients, and Retail Points of Sale.

In this role the candidate will receive continuous face-to-face, hands-on and virtual trainings on technologies, HP’s leading products, solutions and services. Trainings will be held in Barcelona and abroad to develop skills and competencies on the latest and most current IT subject areas.

The ideal candidate should have a genuine passion for technology and understanding how it works. The candidate should speak English at a native level or close to native level.

The Value Channel Inside Presales Technical Consultant (TC) mission is to support sales opportunities by providing technical guidance via email and telephone, from a central location in Barcelona, to our business partners and HP Channel Sales Representatives on value products, solutions and services. The TC will deliver technical and solution expertise in order to help HP Partners create solutions to win business and provide an excellent level of total customer experience (TCE). The TC will also engage other technical resources (Presales organization, EMEA regional and World Wide Divisional resources, etc) where needed.

What a Presales Technical Consultant does at HP:

• Provide technical recommendations, direction and guidance on HP value products, software solutions and services. This includes Life Cycle Services, Digital Services, HP Workstations, Mobile Workstations, Thin Clients, Retail Point of Sales, Digital Signage, Accessories, relevant software and solutions.

• Answering and tracking technical questions from partners

• Present the advantages of HP’s PPS products and solutions.

• Helping sales representatives to respond to customers’ requests for information, proposal and Quote (RFI, RFP, RFQ).

• Support sales opportunities with HP Channel Partners requiring an in-depth or technical understanding of HP’s offering.

• Propose and help our partners build the most competitive configurations and solutions for our customers

• Support partners on the status of technical and environmental regulations

• Deliver trainings to other departments about PPS value products and solutions.

• Raise and manage technical escalations on questions and technical issues which cannot be solved within the Value Channel Inside Technical Consultants team.

Cloud Engineers are responsible for the design and implementation of business applications in the cloud. As a SME, you will be taking the lead in bridging the gaps between complex business problems and providing solutions on cloud, contributing knowledge and awareness of what is possible in cloud computing to other members of the team. • Work closely with the Product Quality team to bring automated testing capabilities

• Research the current market for similar products and compare results

 

Your experience and skills:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant fields 

• 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in front-end and/or back-end development with working knowledge in Javascript, CSS, HTML

• Must be comfortable working with some popular frameworks such as ReactJs and NodeJs

• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

• Experience in developing mobile first applications (Responsive UI/UX)

• Experience working with RESTful API or WebSockets.

• Experience working with Application Logging, Monitoring, Performance Management such as (Firebase App Analytics, Bugsnag)

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Gitlab, Github, Jenkins)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication skills.

About you

Otis Elevator is growing and we are recruiting a Service Sales (Maintenance Sales) Consultant. Reporting to the Service Sales Manager, the Service Sales Consultant will be responsible for promoting and selling elevator and escalator service agreements to both new and existing customers. This role is instrumental in driving revenue growth and expanding our service contract portfolio.
 

What you will be doing

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and qualifying potential customers for elevator and escalator service agreements.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to understand their service needs and promote contract renewals and upgrades.

• Collaborate with the sales and service teams to develop tailored service solutions that meet customer requirements and enhance their experience.

• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to effectively communicate the value of Otis service offerings.

• Negotiate contract terms and pricing to secure new service agreements and achieve sales targets.

• Stay updated on industry trends and market developments to identify competitive advantages and position Otis as a leader in elevator and escalator services.

What you will need to be successful

• Proven experience in sales, preferably in the elevator, escalator, or related industries.

• Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and effectively convey the value of service agreements.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to develop and execute sales strategies.

• Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools for pipeline management and reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, engineer or a related field is preferred.

About you

You will be responsible for driving sales of elevator modernization services. This role involves assessing client needs, preparing proposals, and collaborating with technical teams. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential for building client relationships and achieving sales targets. This position reports to the Section Manager MOD&BEX for Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain good working relationship with all customers and develop good working relationship with new customers.
• Site survey / visit to understand better for new design concept and technical solution proposal.
• Developing technical solutions, prepare complex technical sales quotations and drawings for the end user in coordination.
• Check final order and sales contract with initial quotation and clarify / solve any discrepancies.
• Handle customer request / questions about signed terms & conditions and check changes against the agreed bidding document, performance guarantee / Bank guarantee.
• Liaison with end user and consultants on technical solutions and technical specification.
• Managing project delivery right from received PO till delivery to site.
• Achieving sales target and implement sales excellence mindset.

Requirements

• 3 years of industry experience including a minimum of 2 years of sales.
• Strong technical knowledge of Building or Construction or Engineering industry.
• Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment.
• Candidates must possess proficient presentation skills, as well as oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with a wide variety of people with diverse background of all levels and disciplines.
• Highly self-motivated individuals with go-getter attitude who have the ability to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities.
