A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within a leading International Tax consultancy business who are actively seeking a tax trainee to join their close-knit team. Modern and forward thinking, with over 30 years of expertise within their industry managing a long standing client and growing further. Working within an office of 7, this opportunity will see you carrying out duties such as :

• Dealing with client enquiries by telephone, email, and post;
• Attend and minute meetings (internal, intermediary, client and HMRC);
• Prepare file notes
• Undertake technical research at the direction of the Tax Managers or Director;
• Write articles for our website and wider circulation;
• Prepare advisory letters and reports;
• Prepare tax calculations (including VAT, corporation tax, income tax, capital gains tax);
• Respond to HMRC correspondence and assist with enquiries;
• Support the wider team where your skills will add value to consultancy work; and
• Study for professional qualifications where agreed (ATT with potential to progress to chartership, subject to performance in role).

The successful candidate working as a tax trainee would hold a key interest in progressing their career within tax and have a strong motivation to develop. No official qualifications are necessary but would be beneficial. Previous experience within the finance industry would be beneficial.
