Who is our future head chef ?

As a head chef you will be working closely with the executive chef throughout your shift . You will help manage rota’s , cost , and manage stock to maintain . You will also make sure that food service is delivered cost efficiency and resource optimisation , but ensure that quality control is always maintained to the highest standard .
As an Headchef it would be your responsibility to also enforce strict health and safety message and HACCP procedures to ensure chemicals , food , machinery and staff within the kitchen .

This role is a full time permanent position which will include working 48 hours per week and own transport would be required due to the location of the restaurant .

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Biomass Energy / CHP Manager will be expected to contribute towards the achievement of the company's strategic and operational targets. The role carries managerial responsibility for all phases of plant operations including material handling, plant process, electrical generation, maintenance, quality control and health and safety and environment. The role is to increase reliability and consistency of operation, efficiencies, and measurement through the development of people, plant, and process.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience as CHP Manager with a proven track record in biomass and energy production. The CHP Manager will become part of the Management team. The site is an integrated site with the CHP plant responsible for processing the Co-products and generating thermal and electrical energy for the site plus the sale of energy products to 3rd parties.

Responsibilities

Health & Safety

* Encourage a safety culture which promotes safe systems and work and ensures that all Health and Safety procedures and policies on site are adhered to, creating a safe working environment
* Share the best practise, learning, and opportunities for improvement with other business departments within the Group.

Operations

* Full management responsibility for ensuring the CHP unit and associated plant and equipment is operational, reliable, and available for service
* Ensure the plant is operated and managed in a way that meets all statutory obligations within environmental regulations
* Ensure production and generation targets are met in line with budget commitments
* Work with peers on other CHP plants within the Group, to develop an internal benchmarking system and to promote the best practise between sites
* Contribute to the strategic development of the site through the submission of capital projects, combined with identifying and producing plans for possible diversification and expansion opportunities for the business. Plan and effectively execute maintenance shutdowns to ensure safety, quality, completion of work and cost management
* Maintain and develop the CMMS (Computerise Maintenance Management System)
* Analyse the cause of unplanned outages to reduce the likelihood of repetition

Personnel

* Lead and manage a team of CHP operators and support staff working a 24/7 shift pattern.
* Lead and support the people on site from a recruitment, onboarding, development, and employee engagement perspective in conjunction with HR.
* Form strong working relationships with the team to support them in their roles and to enable them to share knowledge and best practices. Oversee all the staff scheduling time off request and overtime
* Conduct formal performance reviews as per company policy

Financial Control

* Take all necessary actions to manage production costs and improve profitability
* Ensure inventories are satisfactory and accurate records are maintained
* Preparation and continual review of budgets
* Continually challenge the norm and take full accountability for all cost centres, including challenging and corrective of variances

General and administrative

* Ensure the site is compliant for all audits in Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental and proactively take any improvement opportunities identified
* Ensure all reporting information in respect of OFGEM, FMS, BSL, RHI, ROCS and CHPQA submissions are accurate, and available when required, including any necessary calibrations
* Manage key customers, internal and external, to ensure that expectations are met
* Manage and liaise with key suppliers for the CHP Plant to ensure competitiveness and quality.
* Produce monthly reports covering operational activity, P&L, H&S, maintenance works, plant run hours.

Skills Profile

* Qualification in Biomass, Energy, Engineering or related field or equivalent knowledge and experience.
* Minimum 5 years' CHP Management experience or relevant experience in a process plant, preferably with steam raising equipment and electrical generation
* Knowledge and experience to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory standards, including in depth knowledge of PSSR and BG01

A large national client are recruiting for a freelance Contracts/Operations Manager - Drainage for a project in Sheffield. Reporting to the Group Operations Manager you will be assisting the Project Manager with the day to day running of the project.
Your new role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Drainage Operations Manager to join a reputable company on a freelance basis for a minimum of 3 months. Reporting directly to the Group Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all operations to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the drainage services.

• Oversee the day-to-day operations
• Manage and coordinate the scheduling of jobs, ensuring they are completed within deadlines and to client satisfaction
• Monitor and maintain high standards of health and safety procedures throughout the operation
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and resolving any issues or complaints promptly and professionally
• Manage and motivate a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient service
• Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members, identifying areas for improvement and providing training and development opportunities
• Monitor and control costs, ensuring projects are completed within budget
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and contribute to business growth

What you'll need to succeed;

Your new role
Your new role will be to take on a leadership position managing a team of agents, supporting the Head of Customer Care, providing training and development plans, coaching and mentoring to ensure best in class service is given at every opportunity. The business works on phone and email channels, so support will be required to train advisors on using systems (CRM, Freshdesk), dealing with product orders, logistical issues and mentoring members to reach their full potential. Another aspect of this role includes quality assurance and call monitoring, to ensure KPIs and SLAs are met with pain points identified. You will organise holiday rotas, shift planning and support with forecasting additional needs within the team to continue to provide a quality service.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered, you must have recently worked as a Customer Service/Customer Care Team Leader, either within B2C or B2B environments, where you have either mentored or directly managed Customer Service/Care Advisors in a call centre environment. You will have experience with quality assurance and performance management, ideally with a background in training new agents within small-medium-sized groups. You will be within easy reach of the Hammersmith/Chelsea area and be able to commute in under an hour.


What you'll get in return
In return you will be offered a permanent contract paying £30,000 per year, with 28 days holiday, staff discounts and sales where you will be invited to events showcasing new products or collaborations. Hays Senior Finance are partnering with a global SME in Sheffield with a £10m turnover to recruit a Finance Manager.
Your new role
In this position you will be joining an established Finance Team reporting to the Finance Director You will be overseeing a small accountancy team responsible for their day to day supervision. You will support the FD with oversight of all transactional duties through monthly account management preparation, cashflow planning, reconciliations and more. A great opportunity to really add value to a well-established business in a newly created growth role.
Your key duties will involve delivering accurate reporting of all financials, including management accounts preparation for review of the Financial Director, P&L, balance sheet reconciliations. You will be involved in assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes, cashflow planning and treasury reporting. Timely completion of month-end responsibilities, analysis of commercial processes including monitoring margins and costs, co-ordinating with supply chain teams to manage working capital processes, including stock management, procurement, and debtors. You will support in year-end audit co-ordination, process/system improvement/implementation, along with processing of monthly salaries. You will support the ongoing development of a small accounting team with oversight of all transactional duties, including purchase/sales ledger processes, bank reconciliations and credit control, while remaining hands-on in busy periods.


What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this hands-on Finance Manager role, you will need experience in a similar position, excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with key MS, excellent MS skills, and experience in financial systems. You will have experience preparing monthly management accounts, including balance sheets and P&L's, along with being used to managing workloads to time-constrained deadlines. Ideally, you will be a qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA/AAT or qualified by experience. You will be a team player, but also able to use your own initiative with key problem-solving skills and be willing to adapt to business needs. Experience with SAP and Sage financial systems, along with supervisory/management experience in an SME, would be advantageous but not essential.
