Electronic Security System Installation Program Manager
KBR is seeking an Electronic Security System (ESS) Installation Program Manager to join our team. The Defense Systems Engineering (DSE) Business Unit provides full spectrum engineering and technical solutions across the life cycle of DoD military systems on land, at sea, in the air and in space. Areas of expertise include acquisition, systems engineering and integration, AI/big data applications, cyber, R&D, test and evaluation, C4ISR and sustainment engineering.
What to Expect: As the Program Manager you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all KBR Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Installation projects, including the responsibility and management of scope, schedule, cost, and hiring.
- Understand the complete project life cycle, including site survey, design, procurement, pre-installation test and checkout, onsite installation, and testing.
- Experience with ESS and Network installation, including fiber, switchgear, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, video surveillance systems, and intercom systems.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure sound daily operations of all activities of a moderate to large sized Government Services (GS) project in accordance with the established policies, procedures, system specifications, and requirements of the project. Establishes organization-wide processes, training, and procedures for consistent operation between projects.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure compliance and efficient performance in accordance with the approved Installation Design Plan (IDP) drawings. Coordinate with network/engineering, logistics, subcontractor, and administrative resources as needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact to the Government stakeholders to provide timely status reports of work accomplished, issues encountered, and staffing considerations. Ensures on time execution in accordance with the approved project schedule and provides task level updates or insight to possible delays promptly.
- Ensures all employees performing on-site work adhere to safety standards, regulations, and best practices, leading by example and instructing through demonstration as needed.
- Responsible for the profit and loss of the projects.
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS degree in a technical discipline and 10 years of experience in ESS installation and/or management of similar projects. Additional 8 years relevant experience may substitute for required education.
- Must have experience utilizing engineering drawings to perform or supervise installation work.
- Must have experience testing and troubleshooting ESS.
- Must be familiar with applicable codes for electrical and minor construction work.
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification is preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute desired.
