What you'll be doing:

• Work with some of the brightest minds in a leading AI company to develop a leading machine learning framework, NVIDIA Modulus, for our academic and industrial partners to construct digital twins and machine learning simulation surrogates for real world science and engineering problems

• Work with internal project teams to validate applications built using the framework on Nvidia’s products

• Stay up to date with the latest research and innovations in deep learning techniques, implement and experiment with new insights to develop and enhance NVIDIA's deep learning technologies with focus on simulations

What we need to see:

• BS or MS degree (PhD preferred) in computer science, mathematics, computational science/engineering, or related technical field or equivalent experience.

• 10+ years of relevant experience.

• Strong Python programming skills. Familiarity with containers, numeric libraries, modular software design

• Good knowledge of state-of-the-art DNN architectures and machine learning techniques and algorithms (graph networks, diffusion models, reinforcement learning etc.) with experience in developing or using major deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, Tensorflow, JAX etc.)

• Experience with solving and using machine learning for real world problems involving scientific/engineering simulations (domains/applications - industrial, life sciences, high energy physics, earth sciences – seismic, weather & climate modeling; physics types - CFD, structural, electromagnetics, optics, acoustics etc.) and/or scientific visualization is a big plus

• Strong analytical skills with bias for action. Good time-management and organization skills to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Work with multi-node systems with data-parallel and model parallel programming experience. Experience with CUDA

The base salary range is 180,000 USD - 339,250 USD. We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer/Solution Architect with experience in deploying Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL) models on-prem and in the cloud. As part of the Solution Architecture organization, we work with the most sophisticated computing hardware and software, driving the latest deep learning and machine learning breakthroughs with NVIDIA’s enterprise customers. What You’ll Be Doing:

• A considerable part of the day-to-day job is staying up to date on pioneering Deep Learning and Machine Learning ecosystems. You'll be called on to help architect and scale high-performance, distributed AI deployments on-prem or in the cloud built with the latest NVIDIA GPU supercomputers.

• Document what you know and teach others. This can vary from building targeted training for partners and other Solutions Architects to writing whitepapers, blogs, and wiki articles, to working through challenging problems with a partner on a whiteboard.

• Answer questions and provide mentorship. Work with Partner Business Managers to assist partners and customers on their critical projects. You will help them build their GPU and DPU-enabled Accelerated Compute datacenters or cloud services to get the most out of their investment.

• Lead and develop proofs-of-concept (PoCs) for solutions applied to enterprise and industrial applications such as LLM, NLP/NLU, recommender systems, image recognition, video analytics, and DPU applications.

• Support the business development team through the sales process for GPU/DPU/Network hardware/software products. Responsible for technical relationships and enabling customers to build innovative NVIDIA technology solutions.

• Partner with NVIDIA Engineering, Product, and Sales teams to secure design wins for customers. Enable development and growth of NVIDIA product features through customer feedback and PoC evaluations.

What We Need To See:

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or other Engineering fields or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of work-related experience in Deep Learning and Machine Learning, including deep learning frameworks TensorFlow or PyTorch, GPU, and CUDA experience extremely helpful.

• Experience working with DevOps on-prem or in cloud environments, including but not limited to Docker/Containers, Kubernetes, cloud APIs, IaaS and Data Center deployments; additional experience with DPUs applications development will be beneficial.

• Deep understanding of dense data center design, including computing, storage, networking, cloud APIs, and IaaS.

The Role:

You'll be an experienced software engineer with machine learning concept. Working in an agile cross-functional team, you will contribute to the development of complex features to ensure Dyson continues to create innovative products that will delight our customers.

You'll collaborate with architects, software engineers, machine learning engineers, and platform engineers to help solve the wide and exciting range of edge devices’ challenges posed by the ever expanding Dyson product portfolio.

You'll have a desire to explore and share ideas and techniques across different technical domains and will ideally have expert knowledge of software development for complex, sophisticated systems including deep learning IPU, embedded software, camera/sensors components with a focus on model deployment on embedded system software and cloud computing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to design and deploy proposed machine learning algorithm/model onto target platform efficiently.
• Work closely with architects, algorithm engineers, and platform engineers to implement and deploy machine learning models on embedded system and optimize product performance accordingly.
• Understand necessary data and AI requirements to implement and deploy machine learning applications; ensure machine learning applications are available to products via well-defined APIs
• Lead system design of data pipeline to facilitate repetitive machine learning model performance turning
• Identify key enabler and risk areas of proposed algorithmic solutions.
• Work with the architecture team and product management to identify the feature development roadmap.
• Develop prototype demonstrators utilising rapid prototyping techniques for quick evaluation.

Key Skills / Experience

• A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics or robotics engineering with strong quantitative background.
• Strong knowledge in image classification, segmentation, embedding and feature extraction
• Industry experience in building innovative end-to-end machine learning systems
• 2+ years of experience in computer vision/ML application software development and performance tuning.
• Experience in building, deploying and optimizing machine learning algorithms, especially deep learning and convolutional neural network.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience of machine learning fundamentals, such as data visualisation, data cleaning, SVM, random forest, model ensemble, AdaBoost, deep learning deployment etc.
• Experience in integration and deployment of computer vision applications onto embedded system products or edge devices is highly desirable.
• Proficient in machine learning libraries, such as OpenCV, dlib, scikit-learn, numpy or scipy, etc.
• Proficiency in multithreading programming and synchronisation mechanisms.
• Good command of object oriented programming capability, including speed and overall quality; specifically, must be able to write high performance product quality codes with C++ and Python
• Familiar with STL, boost C++ libraries, design patterns and able to enforce it in day-to-day tasks.
• Comfortable and familiar with embedded system programming under Linux environment for machine learning model deployment and performance tuning.
