JOB DESCRIPTION

Google's infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers. As Google's products and services scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future -- everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. You'll work with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting deal recommendations to our Tech leadership. ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Data Center Strategic Negotiator, you'll work within the Google Energy and Location Strategy team. You will provide data center production capacity that meets Google’s needs. In this role, you will help to drive location strategy, site selection, and portfolio management for new and existing data centers sites and related infrastructure. You'll support the development of the company’s global energy portfolio strategy (e.g., identifying and helping in the creation of industry leading renewable energy projects), to support the company’s goal to be carbon neutral.

Qualifications

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with internal and external technical teams to identify, define, and pursue site selection projects and initiatives necessary to meet Google's ongoing data center needs.
• Lead data center site evaluations and selection processes, monitor progress against objectives, provide regular status reports, and financial metrics to support portfolio decisions.
• Lead the acquisition of appropriate data centers and develop strategic agreements with vendors, landowners, and key suppliers for space and utility services.
• Manage the strategy for ongoing growth at existing sites and develop metrics for the mapping and tracking of portfolio management issues regarding site/infrastructure development.
• Build an open and inclusive workplace for colleagues in day-to-day interactions and conversations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in business management, public policy, finance, real estate, technology, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in collocation agreements, site selection for industrial-scale projects, real estate evaluation, acquisition, development, construction, utility agreements negotiation, implementing clean energy initiatives, or financial modeling.
• Experience managing projects and timelines within the Asia Pacific region.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in economic development policy, financial modeling, infrastructure development, contract drafting/redlining, and presentation development.
• Experience in power transmission and distribution, telecommunications infrastructure, data center technology, industrial class electrical and cooling technology, or other related areas.
• Experience with real estate markets within Asia Pacific and establishing infrastructure in markets.
• Ability to creatively provide commercial and technical solutions.

We are now looking for a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), Data Science Platform. At NVIDIA, we pride ourselves on data-driven decision-making, and the data science team is at the heart of this initiative. We are looking for an excellent Sr. Site Reliability Engineer with extensive data infrastructure experience for our data science platform supporting NVIDIA's cloud platform services. Our data science platform serves as the basis for advanced real time data analytics, streaming, data lake and sophisticated ML/AI training with offline/online inferencing for NVIDIA's cloud services.

Site Reliability Engineering is an engineering discipline to design, build and maintain large scale production systems with high efficiency and availability using the combination of software and systems engineering practices. SRE at NVIDIA ensures reliability and uptime as promised to the users and at the same time enabling developers to make changes to the existing system through careful preparation and planning while keeping an eye on capacity, latency and performance. SRE is also a mindset and a set of engineering approaches to running better production systems and optimizations. The person in this position will be responsible for Service Response and Workflows and will drive tools/service development to maintain and improve service SLOs.

What you’ll be doing:

• Working on building tools to improve the SRE Observability.

• Rapidly debug and triage incidents and user-reported issues.

• Make valuable contribution to the overall health, performance, and reliability of Nvidia's Cloud Data Science platform and Infrastructure Services.

• Taking ownership of automating, scripting, and tooling of new/existing scripts to help the team achieve 100% automation of daily tasks.

• Clear SRE Observability understanding and experience in building new tools and automation using Python/GO.

What we need to see:

• MS or BS in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years Site reliability engineering experience working on large scale distributed micro services in a production environment with a real passion for automation and tooling.

• SRE approach and who can understand Error budgeting, SLO’s, SLA’s.

• Clear understanding on Incident management, change management and problem management process. Ability to detect all service-impacting issues, accurate triage, partner communication, impact containment, service restoration, and post-incident follow-up.

• Proven strengths in problem-solving and root causing issues, while continuously seeking ways to drive optimization, efficiency and the bottom line.

• Strong experience on streaming data infra services involving web services, Kafka, Spark etc.

• Expert knowledge with building and operating large scale observability platforms for monitoring and logging (ELK, Prometheus etc)

• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to identify and communicate data driven insights
