Job Purpose

You will be responsible for planning and executing IT audits for the Great Eastern Group of Companies. You will also assist the Singapore Chief Internal Auditor, Group Internal Audit, to provide an independent and objective assurance to improve the Group’s IT control environment.

The Job

· Participate or lead in the planning and execution of audit assignments to ensure quality and timeliness of reports and deliverables;

· Develop risk-based audit plans and testing programs;

Our Requirements

· 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in IT security governance, IT Infrastructure/Cybersecurity/outsourcing operations, Technology Risk Management in banking or FI;

· Knowledge or exposure to cybersecurity controls, infrastructure technology (i.e. cloud security, network, virtualization), ethnical hacking, application security, API, micro services and secure coding standards;

· Familiar with the regulatory requirements specific to technology risk management (e.g. MAS, RMiT, OJK);

· Good report writing, communication and presentation skills;

· Complete audit work papers and reports with minimal intervention by the audit manager/team lead;

· Provide continuous monitoring of technology areas, engage technology control partners to upkeep with the changing IT risk landscape of the group;

· Attention to details to ensure completeness and accuracy of audit coverage;

· Strong analytical skill, time management, independent and collaborative;

· Able to interact well with all levels of staff;

About you
To be successful in this role you will require:

In this role you’ll mainly support Internal Audit in the OSFI Assurance on Capital and Liquidity. You will have the opportunity to participate and provide leadership in large and highly complex audits in the Finance and Treasury areas of the Bank. You’ll provide an independent opinion on the design and effectiveness of operational and management controls in accordance with the CIBC Audit and industry best practices and develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners.

How you’ll succeed

• Participate and manage execution of audit assignments - Identify and fully understand the key business processes, their inherent risk, and the control environment. Participate in risk based audit activities, assess relevant processes and controls, and provide an independent opinion on their design and operating effectiveness.

• Audit reporting – Identify business control weaknesses, and objectively assess the severity and materiality of the issues and their potential impact on the business. Work with business management to develop action plans based on realistic and workable solutions, to mitigate the risk and exposure in the long term.

• Continuous improvement - Provide effective and timely communication on risk and issues with influence and judgment to create positive outcomes. Look for ways to enhance audit guidelines and practice development and to improve efficiency and audit experience.

 

Who you are

• You can demonstrate experience in and have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the business, products, risks, processes and related controls within areas of responsibility incl. but not limited to Treasury, Finance and Capital Markets with minimum of 3 years of proven and progressive experience in audit, accounting or other equivalent experience. It’s an asset if you have a professional designation/certification such as CPA, CFA, FRM, CIA.

About the role:
As a Senior Manager, the successful applicant will have responsibility for the following:
 

• Lead the sustainability reporting and assurance team.
• Drive client business development activities for sustainability, supporting our go to market activities, demonstrating ability to generate leads and expand our opportunities in this area
• Leading sustainability assurance engagements across all industries, acting in the capacity of ‘engagement Senior Manager, taking ownership for all aspects of engagement delivery from scoping, programme and team selection through to delivery, quality management and budgetary control
• Delivering an innovative approach to our sustainability assurance service offering
• Leveraging your in depth knowledge of the sustainability landscape to enable you to act in the capacity of ‘trusted advisor’ for client stakeholders.
• Developing thought leadership and market eminence related to sustainability

About you:
 

• Must have external audit experience and accredited to be an auditor (Essential)
• Understanding all spectrums of sustainability (i.e. Environmental, Social and Governance)
• Understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks e.g. TCFD, GRI, UN SDG, UN PRI, CSRD/NFRD. SFDR, EU Taxonomy etc.
• Demonstrate abilities to develop assurance frameworks using ISAE 3000 standard.
• Experience assessing the impact of climate change risks
• Outstanding academics and relevant qualifications (e.g. sustainable development, qualified accountant, environmental sustainability etc.)
