This role provides the Internal Audit (IA) organization with detailed analysis of direct staff resource planning and related reporting for all products and staff levels. Leads direct staff analysis and activities related to organizational design across all product / function /regional audit teams in multiple locations. Works closely with other members of the Resource & Budget Management team, as well as Chief Auditors across IA and other key partners at Citi.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead direct staff analysis and alignment of teams for Internal Audit globally
- Manage reporting for headcount and recruiting initiatives, including timely submittal of materials requested by regulators
- Forecast and analyze staffing needs with respect to trends and in partnership with Finance, Human Resources / Talent Acquisition, Operations & Technology, and key internal stakeholders
- Review resourcing changes, supply & demand, location strategy, and headcount and staffing-related data to ensure adherence to principles and data quality
- Analyze recruiting, attrition, and transfer trends and highlight shifts to management
- Provide periodic reporting and staffing-related recommendations to senior management clearly and concisely
- Provide ad hoc analysis as deemed necessary, working with the multiple stakeholders including Chief Auditors, Human Resources, and Finance functions
- Identify process improvement opportunities and ensure that established guidelines/policies are adhered to and updated as necessary
- Support Work Force Management activities on behalf of IA and change management processes impacting position management, demand & capacity planning and staffing adequacy
- Assist with managing IA Global Premises and Location Strategy by completing monthly reporting requirements, and ad-hoc deliverables and analysis as required
Qualifications and Competencies
- BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred
- 6-10 years of relevant experience
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment and flexibility to work hours necessary to meet tight deadlines
- A self-starter, self-confident individual who is detailed oriented, has well developed listening skills, can engage a small group and possess the ability to identify and escalate issues as they arise
- Effective negotiation and data analysis skills. This individual must be an articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing, with an energetic, charismatic and approachable style
- Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of internal and external audit and management
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, including proficiency in Excel / Access/ PowerPoint
