Job Description:
Provide mechanical design, technical analysis and innovative solutions for new and existing equipment. Strong focus on safety, machine ergonomics, capability and efficiency. Engineering support for new equipment and machine upgrades on assigned product line(s).
Responsibilities:
· Design machinery utilizing DFM and DFA principles
· Lead sold and development projects collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams and other engineering team members
· Collaborate with electrical engineers to create seamless, tightly integrated controls designs for the highest performing equipment
· Analyze designs to ensure adequate part life, functionality and conformance to process demands
· Assist commercial team on proposals and integrate designs into customer applications
· Assist with equipment testing, data collection and documenting results
· Provide technical documentation and product specifications
· Assist with the evaluation and resolution of mechanical in-field issues
· Perform other duties as assigned or as needed.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
· 3+ years machine design experience
· SOLIDWORKS proficient
· Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Experience preparing engineering documentation.
Additional Job Description:
· Must be able to perform all level 1 duties competently
· Design/alteration of moderately complex machines, sections, systems or units
· Prepare layouts using CAD tools
· Evaluation of moderately complex designs; make engineering changes
· Prepare BOM, assembly drawings/schematics using CAD for moderately complex equipment
· Assist in supporting manufacturing/assembly teams
· Maintain project file
· Support field teams with technical assistance as required
