POSITION SUMMARY

To develop and execute category assortment & supplier management strategies and to manage strategic procurement initiatives with all stakeholders.

The Senior Category & Procurement Manager must be specialized in strategic sourcing & category assortment (Technical Stores) and is able to lead & effectively execute group tenders.

SPECIFIC MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute the procurement strategy and translate into targets
• Professionalize and right size the supplier portfolio and run a professional relationship management program to ensure a best-in-class performance in the industry
• Run sourcing projects, inlcu. Search, develop and maintain relationships with existing vendors and possible new vendors, negotiations & contracting
• Negotiate sustainable contracts with focus on price, quality, availability and logistics and develop vendor relationships to maximize cooperation
• Build, maintain and execute a strong pipeline of optimization opportunities including negotiation, resourcing & supply.
• Ensure best practices are shared and deployed between regional networks of offices and the global procurement team
• Maintain and develop procurement SOP with in respective area
• Contract the maximum spend possible and ensure compliance to the same
• KPI tracking & reporting Collaborate with Regional & Global procurement teams to drive effectiveness through the organization and utilize economy of scale

• Oversee raw materials procurement processes, ensuring appropriate remittance and delivery
• Build relationships with existing vendors and identify new vendors to service emerging needs
• Identify procurement processes to be improved or made more efficient
• Create and oversee KPI tracking and reporting
• Work with project managers to ensure materials availability
• Reports to the Assistant Procurement Manager to ensure a smooth flow of the Project.
• Coordinate with individual disciplines/trades in the Production Department and Supporting Department (QAQC/Engineering and etc) on procurement-related matters
• Monitor the progress status of individual Disciplines within the Procurement function
• Monitor Material Status & Delivery from Client and Company purchases
• Attend Client and Production meeting
• Tracks potential variations for the Projects and to follow up with Commercial
• Preparation and coordination of Technical Bid Evaluation and Recommendation to Award to Client
• Close Coordination with the Project Management Team
• Prepare and submit Project Documents through DCC
• To assist in raising of purchase orders (PO)
• Supporting the Marketing department on Project Cost Estimation

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
• Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and prepare reports
• Monitor procurement budget and expenditure.
• Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.

Purchasing

Gather list of suppliers in line with selection processes

Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices

Purchase supply of products/materials.

Determine the lowest cost for products/materials.

Communicate with vendors, team members, and managers to align goals

Responsible for/authorised to:

a) Responsible for the efficient management of Procurement Department and ensure all purchases are made at the best price and terms with the required quality.
