The successful candidate will procure and manage various indirect spend categories of low to medium spend for the business, in order to ensure value for money, supplier consolidation , supplier compliance to agreed contractual terms, KPIs and SLAs.

• Ensuring all goods and services are procured in accordance with requirements of stakeholders and the business
• Managing low/medium spend
• Carrying out due diligence and onboarding on new suppliers
• Supporting on queries with our Purchase to Pay process via our P2P system
• Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships
• Analysing category spends and sourcing suitable suppliers to bid for the supply of goods and services to the UK Group
• Supporting colleagues through any tenders
• Supporting and preparing supplier negotiations
• Renegotiating current supply agreements and identifying opportunities for further savings

Who are we looking for?

You will have proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role within a cross functional team

A working knowledge of finance cost management and risk management

Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, principle and best practices

A knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is preferable but not essential

Who We Want: You will have experience of working in a cross functional team within a multiple business unit organisation, it would be preferable but not essential for you to have an understanding of the pharmaceutical industries. It would also be preferable that you are CIPS qualified or at least working towards your Level 4.

You will have a proven track record of prioritising workload to meet deadlines and a working knowledge of finance cost management and risk management. The ability to anticipate change and produce solutions is essential. Strong communication skills are required for this role.

Ideally, we are looking for a team member with a minimum five GCSE’s or equivalent including English and Maths.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide leadership for a high-quality EPRR function supporting NWLPS corporate objectives.
2. Support Lead EPRR officers in respective Trusts to achieve key deliverables and objectives.
3. Coordinate a whole-system integrated approach to EPRR within NWLPS remit, liaising with senior management at local and London levels.
4. Drive forward the NWLPS agenda on EPRR.
5. Ensure all EPRR plans are up-to-date and revised in accordance with new legislation and national guidance.
6. Manage highly complex EPRR planning requirements for the Trust at department and Trust levels.
7. Undertake an educational campaign to raise awareness of EPRR across the Region and ensure sufficient training is in place for emergency response.
