JOB SUMMARY: Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) seeks a full time General Internal Medicine faculty member for the new Department of Internal Medicine in Asheville, NC. The General Internal Medicine Faculty member will provide excellent, evidence-based, efficient patient care services, as well as resident and student teaching, mentoring, curriculum planning and effective supervision. This role will directly care for ambulatory patients in the faculty outpatient practice and supervise the care provided to ambulatory patients by staff in the resident outpatient practice. Opportunities for inpatient care, supervision, and teaching are also available.

The Internal Medicine Faculty member will provide excellent, evidence-based, efficient patient care services, as well as resident and student teaching, mentoring, curriculum planning and effective supervision.

• Directly care for ambulatory patients in the faculty outpatient practice
• Supervise the care provided to ambulatory patients by house staff in the resident outpatient practice
• Improve the quality and efficiency of ambulatory care at MAHEC
• If interested, directly care for hospitalized patients on the general medicine inpatient service working on teams with house staff and students
• Mentor residents in evidence-based medical care
• Participate in and foster scholarship in the ambulatory setting
• Work within MAHEC and with other departments to further the effective management of ambulatory and hospitalized patients

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• CLINICAL
  • Provide direct clinical care to ambulatory patients and hospitalized patients (if interested), with the amount of time spent in the outpatient and inpatient venues determined by mutual agreement with the Department Chair
  • Participate in the faculty on-call system, including night and weekend on-call duties (telephone call only; no in-hospital responsibilities)
  • Comply in a timely manner with all institutional policies for professional work, including credentialing, documentation, and billing
  • Work effectively with other members of the extended inter-professional team
  • Additional clinical duties as necessary for emergent situations or as arranged otherwise with the employee.

• TEACHING
  • Serve as a faculty advisor and mentor for residents.
  • Supervise and teach house staff in the resident outpatient practice
  • Promote and participate in education programs of the department (continuing education, resident, student), to include didactics in areas of interest in Internal Medicine
  • Serve in an administrative teaching role for CQI team activities and core curriculum lectures for residents.

• Primary care team has 10 Family Medicine Physicians and 3 PAs, 1 Pediatrician, 4 IM Peds Physicians, 2 Internal Medicine
• Services offered: Eye exams, acupuncture, allergy, medical imaging, OB/GYN, travel medicine, and mental health services

Large Clinic located in Edina overlooking Centennial Lakes. CL has the following specialties:  8 Family Medicine providers, 7 Internal Medicine providers, 3 Chiropractors, 1 spinal interventionist, 3 Mental Health providers, 1 Urogynecologist, 1 Podiatrist and 1 Rheumatologist.  Our building also hosts Allina Urgent Care, Courage Kenny and Minneapolis Heart Institute and other non-Allina medical specialties. We range from 16-18 primary care clinical assistants and have two RNs onsite.

Job Description:

TCM Physician

• 5 days (10:30am - 8:00pm with 45min break)
• Salary range from $3000 to $3500
• Working location: Near Holland Village MRT

Requirements:

• Relevant TCM degree with at least 3 years of experience in treating patients as a TCM physician.
• Well versed in internal medicine, acupuncture and cupping

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Treat patients at the clinic to the best of ability
• Keep good clinical records of patients’ visits
• Diplomatically resolve issues with good customer service when situation arises
• Order of clinic supplies such as herbal granules
• Work closely with clinic and sales assistant for benefit of clinic and product sales

As a Physician Internal Medicine, you will:

• Develop and implement clinical policies, guidelines, and procedures for a comprehensive health care program at AFRH Facilities.
• Promote professional training for all professionals. This includes concepts and methods of implementation of professional organization, lines of communication and relationships.

Working Days: 5.5 days
Working Timing: 11-8pm or 10-7pm

Salary: SGD 3,000 -$4000 + Commission

Responsibilities & Duties

• Providing professional TCM consultation and treatments for patients
• Attending to patient’s enquiries about treatments and other related queries
• Ensuring proper documentation of treatment services and medicine assigned to patient
• Attending health talks as well as workshops if required
• Educate patients for suitable treatment options to achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements

• With at least 3 years of working experience as a TCM Physician is preferred
