The Sr Principal Engineer – Software is an experienced engineering technical lead on embedded displays. This individual will define the display software’s development principles and become the subject matter expert. Design reliable, functional and cost effective electrical systems. Provide product definition through bills of material and appropriate documentation for new and revised electrical system designs. Title:

GEOINT (RADAR) Processing Systems Engineer

KBR is looking for personnel with experience providing GEOINT mission knowledge and expertise to support all lifecycle aspects and phases of the system engineering and acquisition of large (>$50

million in value) system acquisitions. This also includes applying the mission knowledge and expertise to support pre-acquisition activities such as analysis of alternatives, market research, and applied research.

Specific responsibilities will include:

Provides subject matter expertise and technical support to facilitate the development of GEOINT capabilities cooperatively with development contractors and mission partners. 

• Perform engineering and analysis to ensure programs successfully develop and deliver core mission processing services in all phases of the acquisition life cycle

What a Visual Inspection Engineer does in HP:

• Provide engineering support for the high-volume manufacturing line (MEMS Fab) in term of automated visual inspection process.
• Liaison with tooling vendor to develop new visual inspection capability or resolve issues.

Mission Thread Engineer

KBR is seeking a highly motivated Mission Thread Engineer with SIGINT and IC experience to support a major SIGINT acquisition system program office.  The successful candidate will have a degree in engineering or other technical discipline and will have intimate knowledge of SIGINT missions, tasking CONOPs, and processing of data.  The successful candidate will conduct  outreach to mission partners and the IC community to understand needs which are then translated into concept of operations and day in the life scenarios.

Key duties include:

• Work with the community to understand intelligence needs that are being satisfied by a material solution

• Work with development team to understand material solution and translate this into CONOPs as well as work with mission partners on various tasking strategies and data delivery options

• Contribute to the development of strategic engagement strategies for coordinating policy and operational actions and work across a broad cross-section of IC partners and stakeholders to articulate material solution capabilities

• Develop processes and procedures for IC participants to operate together and perform joint tasks and aid assessment teams to analyze performance measurements metrics

• Author formal presentations, background papers, meeting agendas, and other formal communications for executive-level meetings and presentation

• Perform Systems Engineering activities including concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, program analysis and engineering, design and support to capabilities experiments / exercises, systems integration, and operations performance analysis

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 years experience with space/ground aerospace systems engineering

• Knowledge of SIGINT collection space systems

• BS degree in engineering or technical discipline

• Experience in AGILE concepts and satisfaction of requirements

The Site Reliability Engineer will be a critical part of Midigator’s engineering team. We are seeking creative, high-energy, diverse, and driven engineers with hands-on skills to work on a variety of meaningful projects. We have a rapidly evolving environment with a lot of technical goodness: microservices, data streaming, queues, eventing, APIs, UIs, etc. all in a cloud-hosted Kubernetes environment with Golang, Python, and Javascript. The ideal candidate has experience working in a rapidly changing environment, is a self-starter, loves learning, and enjoys delivering value.

What You’ll Do

• Work in a DevSecOps environment responsible for the building and running of large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems.

• Work closely with development and operations teams to build highly available, cost effective systems with extremely high uptime metrics.

• Work with cloud operations team to resolve trouble tickets, develop and run scripts, and troubleshoot

• Create new tools and scripts designed for auto-remediation of incidents and establishing end-to-end monitoring and alerting on all critical aspects

• Build infrastructure as code (IAC) patterns that meet security and engineering standards using one or more technologies (Terraform, scripting with cloud CLI, and programming with cloud SDK).

• Participate in a team of first responders in a 24/7 environment, follow the sun operating model for incident and problem management

Must Haves

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent job experience required.

• Cloud Certification required.

• 2-5 years of experience in software engineering, systems administration, database administration, and networking.

• 1+ years of experience developing and/or administering software in public cloud

• Experience in monitoring infrastructure and application uptime and availability to ensure functional and performance objectives.

• Experience in languages such as Python, Bash, Java, Go JavaScript and/or node.js

• Demonstrable cross-functional knowledge with systems, storage, networking, security and databases

• System administration skills, including automation and orchestration of Linux systems using Terraform and containers (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)

• Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling and practices

Extra Points for any of the Following

• Excellent written, verbal, and documentation skills.

• You take a system problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive

• You have experience managing Infrastructure as code via tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

• You are passionate for automation with a desire to eliminate toil whenever possible.

• You’ve built software or maintained systems in a highly secure, regulated or compliant industry.

• You thrive in and have experience and passion for working within a DevOps culture and as part of a team.
