Responsibilities:

✅Carry out preventive maintenance and corrective repair works on machinery.

✅Troubleshoot and rectify, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic system faults on equipment

✅ Attend to breakdown repair and recovery of operational equipment

✅Reduce equipment downtime and enhance equipment performance through quality maintenance works

✅Proper recording of works carried out on equipment

✅Participate in the workplace safety and health (WSH) committee.

Requirements:

• Assists journeyman level mechanic in the area(s) of aircraft, avionics, and/or commodities, by performing the simpler and more routine duties.
• Under constant close supervision, learns to perform the more advanced work of the electrical worker trade as a means of developing trade skills and gaining knowledge of the trade.
• Learns to identify, use, and account for all tools and equipment such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, automatic strippers, drills, soldering equipment, heat guns, electric and pneumatic power tools and other specialized tools of the trade.
• Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Maintains Time and Attendance (TAA) procedures in accordance with the Depot Maintenance Accounting and Production system (DMAPS) guidelines.
• Works to achieve and support quality improvement in all products and services.

• Ability to interpret specifications, footnotes, and dimensions on architectural drawings and blueprints.
• Uses skilled techniques to construct, install, repair, and reproduce wooden historic building elements on frame, timber, log, or single-wall structures that require close tolerance fits and structural soundness.
• Interprets verbal as well as written instructions
• Repair and replace wood and metal doors, hang drywall, suspended ceilings wood and metal studs and vinyl composition tile.

• Repairs roofs, locate leaks, and removes existing roof materials while being sensitive to historic fabric.

• Performs simple maintenance, repair, or reconstruction of a variety of historic masonry structures and surfaces of brick, stone, concrete, and block.

This requires standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Occasionally lifts and carries items over 90 pounds. When working on ladders and scaffolds, must be able to climb and carry tools and materials.

Starting at $25.43 Per Hour (WG 9)

PROGRAMME

Selected candidates will undergo a structured 44-month training program to qualify for a CAT B License from Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). On successful completion of training, you will be appointed as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE) and perform/certify aircraft maintenance task including inspection, repair, modification, and functional tests. You can look forward to a rewarding career in the aerospace industry with opportunities for overseas postings and career progression. Outstanding LAEs will have the opportunity to progress to executive and management positions.

TRAINING

• Classroom lectures at Training Academy inclusive of SAR 66 basic course modules and other associated skills and aircraft systems training with examinations/assessments after each module
• Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) examinations applicable for the category of licence
• On-the-job (practical) training at base and line maintenance environment, as well as other applicable workshops

OBLIGATIONS

• Trainees are required to serve employment of 5 years in the Company upon the completion of training
• If a trainee does not complete the training successfully or does not serve a minimum employment period of 5 years, trainee will have to pay for training costs of up to $115,000 (liquidated damages)

Duties:
