In the Vector Control Policy Department (VCPD), you will be part of the team that works closely with key divisions to analyse and draw up vector control policies, strategies, regulations as well as propose new concepts to achieve more effective means of vector control operations.

[What you will be working on]

In this role, you will help to review and implement policies with a focus on the Environmental Control Officer for Specified Construction Sites [ECO(SCS)] scheme in Singapore.

• Work with the team on the formulation and review of operational policies and procedures to support NEA’s strategic objectives
• Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices and regulatory requirements for policy development
• Evaluate existing policies and recommend updates or revisions to ensure relevance and effectiveness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and feedback on proposed policies

About the role

JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Control Room Operator leads and directs employees, under general supervision, and stands watch and operates the facility and must possess a Massachusetts Third Class Engineers License* pursuant chapter 146 of the M.G.L.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS & ENVIRONMENT:

Reports to Shift Supervisor.

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES:

The Assistant Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring the status of all plant systems on a continuous basis in the field. This position will respond to alarms as directed by Control Room Operator and taking appropriate corrective actions. They will aid in executing plant shutdown and start-up procedures. They will aid in the plant meeting generating requirements while operating in a safe, environmentally efficient, and productive manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires Massachusetts Third Class Engineers License* pursuant chapter 146 of the M.G.L.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Technical training preferred

Must pass a job-related qualifying examination
