General Summary
Essential Job Accountabilities
Perform accurate project revenue and cost financial forecasting to ensure corporate profitability goals are met.
Coordinate with estimators and project controls group to establish budget.
Lead estimating efforts on vertically integrated projects to ensure accurate and consistent bid to build process.
Coordinate efforts with estimators, large project sponsor, and manager of construction to manage resources to meet project schedule.
Participate in bid review and bid closing to ensure accuracy of bid and evaluate project feasibility; work with estimating team to develop bid schedule.
Coordinate with large project sponsor, manager of construction and project team to develop comprehensive plan for project start up and successful kick-off.
Provide environment where dynamic project communication occurs between Project Engineers, Foremen, Superintendents and Construction Manager to ensure work is accomplished in an efficient, profitable, and safe manner.
Ensure proper job controls, i.e. quantities, costs, revenue and schedule.
Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, corporate management, inspectors, etc., providing customer service to develop long-term partnerships with client base.
Ensure accurate construction reports for the job allowing for continuous improvement in performance.
Run projects at profitability levels to meet or exceed expected margins.
Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
Education
BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction.
Work Experience
Three (3) to five (5) years progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
Minimum of five (5) years experience in paving, dirt, and grading in either private or public environments.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Knowledge of construction paving, underground, concrete and grading practices.
Knowledge and understanding of union agreements and prevailing wage issues.
Maintain ability to work in high production environment.
Demonstrated decision-making skills.

The Customer Operations Sr. Manager is a member of the U.S. Customer Operations Team supporting multiple business units within Pfizer. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting and analysis
Provide subject matter expertise on EDI 852 and EDI 867 data.
Work closely with customers’ and Pfizer’s EDI departments to develop and validate initial EDI 852 and EDI 867 data mapping requirements for new customers.
Monitor, identify and resolve EDI 852 and 867 data integrity issues.
Actively maintain EDI 867 end-customer master data.
Perform ongoing master data maintenance activities required for effective order management, DSA contract execution, and reporting accuracy.
Create ad-hoc reports, standardized reports, and system interfaces as needed to support business requirements.
Utilize sophisticated analytical technology such as SQL, Toad and Alteryx.
Distribution Service Agreement contracts
Independently responsible for oversight and execution of the quarterly process to ensure timely and accurate creation of numerous complex contract metrics workbooks within a tight contractual time limit.
Review new contracts and configure internal system to execute required metrics.
Calculate credits/debits and explain variances for approval by senior management.
Work with external customers and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal contract performance is achieved.
Systems and business processes
Independently initiate and manage large technology and business process improvement projects.
Ensure alignment of programming prioritization across multiple systems and stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with Information Technology colleagues to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Oversee validation testing and approve programming changes.
Forecasting
Prepare quarterly accruals for DSA credits/debits.
Provide quarterly revenue projections to Finance as required.
Must-Have
Bachelor's Degree and 7 or more years of experience.
Knowledge of EDI 852 and EDI 867 data.
Strong data analysis skills.

About the role
The Customer Service Manager (CSM) is responsible for leadership and supervision of Covanta’s Customer Service Representatives (CSR’s). The CSM also supports Covanta’s customers and various service offerings. The CSM is responsible for interacting with various internal departments and operations to facilitate services, resolve customer issues and focus on continuous improvements.
Essential Functions
The duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide management and leadership to the Customer Service Representatives
Provide training, coaching and direction to the CSR’s as needed
Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of regulations including RCRA, DOT, OSHA and other regulations related to the waste industry
Understand higher regulatory concepts and work with team members on regulatory related issues
Identify, support, and drive continuous improvement efforts
Provide guidance and direction to CSR’s to drive issue resolution and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
Engage with customers and provide customer support as needed
Work closely with the sales staff to support the onboarding of new customers and to grow existing accounts
Assist in implementing process improvements
Ensure staff performs relevant data entry and ensure company databases are maintained with a high level of accuracy
Ensure the CSR’s understand and follow all relevant standard operating procedures and work instructions
Act as a resource for operations personnel
Provide technical support to customers
Assist CSR’s by helping to cover workloads during absences
Review and approve vendor invoices as needed
Prepare quotes and proposals as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience required
Five plus years of experience in the waste industry is required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
High attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to lead others
Strong organizational and record keeping skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to maintain customer and company confidentiality

This position works out of our office 5 days a week in the Lake Forest, IL location.
