About This Role:-

Reporting to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, you will be responsible in reporting and communication to the Audit Committee in annual audit plan preparation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan and perform internal audit projects
• Contribute to Internal Audit Risk Assessment and Annual Audit Plan development
• Conduct Internal Audit assignments according to the annual audit plan and implement audit plan including planning meetings, audit procedures, business review, gathering and analyzing data.
• Perform independent reviews and evaluations of management operations and activities to:-

- Understand key business risks and review adequacy and effectiveness of processes by which they are identified and managed

- Apply data analytics, e.g. big data analysis, analytical audit procedures to identify focus areas

• Review the controls which ensure reliability, consistency and integrity of financial, managerial and operational information
• Review the process and systems established by Management to ensure compliance with those policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations which could have significant impact on operations
• Document the results of internal audits
• Report audit findings to senior management and to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors
• Follow-up with business unit controlling on agreed actions and report overdue actions to the Management Board and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors
• Coordinate and proactively communicate findings and observations within the Compliance & Risk team

Qualifications And Experience

Education

• A recognised degree in Accountancy / Business / Commerce / Finance or related fields
• Professional qualifications (e.g. CA/CIA/CPA or equivalent)

Experience and Skill

• More than 15 years of internal audit experience in financial institutions/fintech such as investment banks, foreign exchange institutions
• Expereince in market, credit risk, IT audit and blockchain
• Good understanding of risk management and internal control, and a well-developed financial institutions awareness.
• Good understanding of traditional financial products (FX, Equities, Bonds, Derivatives, Commodities) and Digital Assets (Cryptos, Stablecoins, Loans, NFTs)

The Regional Director of Internal Audit for APAC will advise the business to identify areas of risk and make valuable recommendations on controls. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide sound advisory support to the Regional business in their efforts to implement a robust internal control environment.
• Lead effective audit teams throughout assignments related to the Menarini APAC in different locations regionally, taking responsibility for the team members, providing leadership, support and encouragement for good performance and maintaining an appropriate work/life harmony on assignments.

• Master key Company policies that Internal Audit provides assurance on, including their implementing guidelines and procedures.
• Apply effective project management skills to audit assignments to deliver work which meets high quality standards, deadlines and expectations of stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain key contact relationships with management at different locations and/or functional area(s) of responsibility to assess risks comprehensively across the organization and to develop the annual audit plan.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• University degree preferably in financial/management discipline (accounting, finance, economics). Ideally qualified accountant (i.e. Chartered Accountant or CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and/or MBA
• Minimum 20 years audit experience gained in a pharmaceutical company, MNC environment or Big 4 in an Internal Audit capacity.
• Proven leadership skills including the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing audit team. Able to work independently as well as in a team; and ability to build support and credibility within all levels of an organization.
• Ability to navigate and lead through ambiguity, manage and coordinate multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the supervision and resource planning of the Credit Review Group(CRG).
• Provide guidance and further enhance the overall capability of CRG.
• Management reporting on CRG’s activities in a timely manner.
• Support Co-Heads of IADAP on the reporting of CRG’s activities to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the planning group and other relevant groups to enhance the efficiency and quality of the internal processes.
• Support various requests from IAD Tokyo.
• Make audit plans annually for the credit reviews in accordance to the risk assessment in APAC region.
• Cascade the credit review plans to CRG members and ensure deliverables are completed according to planned timeline.
• Supervise CRG members to follow-up on open issues identified and conduct validation review on remediation actions taken by auditee in accordance with CRG recommendations and address BUs’ concerns accordingly.
• Travel within APAC region is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
• 10-15 years’ experience in the areas of credit risk analysis, credit approval and/or credit review function. Audit experience in a leadership capacity would be an added advantage.
• Excellent and extensive knowledge in credit risk analysis, financial analysis/projections and credit rating models across Large Corporates, Structured Real Estate finance, Project Finance, Securitization, LBO and/or Banks/Non-Banks Financial Institutions.
• General knowledge in Retail and Islamic Finance would be an added advantage.

Position Summary:

The Associate Director – Enterprise Risk Management & Internal Audit reports to the Senior Director – Internal Audit and will perform duties of a complex nature. This individual will lead the company’s Enterprise Risk Management activities to ensure an effective ERM framework, tools, and procedures are in place to achieve successful risk identification and management within best practice standards. This is a high visibility role where the successful candidate will have exposure to the highest levels of management, be responsible for maintaining the Risk Management Governance structure, chairing ERM working groups, and periodically interviewing key senior leaders. The estimated base salary range for the Associate Director – Enterprise Risk Management & Internal Audit (Hybrid/Remote) role based in the United States of America is: $152,600 - $228,800. This position is responsible for leading our Internal Audit SOX teams over Contra Revenue, Tax, Treasury, and HR. Responsibilities include leading the independent assurance testing of controls and supporting SOX reporting to SOX PMO and SOX Program Director over scope/approach, issue impact analysis and rating, and project management activities. This person will be the primary contact with the external auditors for their areas and will drive the continued high reliance model, working very closely with the Controllership leadership team and control owners.  The position also is responsible for continued SOX staffing and testing program efficiencies.
