We are looking for an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our team. You will be one of our key members, reporting directly to the Founders and leading a team of technical engineers, where you will be required to provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of our business; both management and technical aspects of the team.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Provides strategic direction for the Business Management team and may manage managers for multiple customers and regions. Primary interface between sales and BU.
• Responsible to forecast, and deliver to booking, revenue and gross margin commits.
• Formulates, integrates, and drives division strategy for assigned account(s) and region(s). Responsible for achieving specific Market Share (%) goals.
• Understands customer roadmaps and HVPs and ensures product development priorities address HVPs. Positions division products in line with customer/competitive landscape. Key contributor to red teams competitive analysis. Participates in Large Order committee - Provides pricing margin and scorecard details.
• Primary point of contact for BU/Division GMs for customer status and strategy. Owns management level customer interaction.
• Partners with Sales and other BUs on product(s) pricing structure for order closure. Leads pricing strategy to introduce product enhancements to increase margin. Handles complex negotiations
• Directs content preparation and strategy for Customer Technical Review Meetings. Periodically presents state of the business results to BU management.
• Manages and develops managers and employees and multiple projects/ programs for the Business Mgmt. organization

Position requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times. This includes demonstrating the highest level of ethical conduct reflecting Applied Materials' core values.

Under the direct responsibility of the President, and in close collaboration with him, the Sales Director will actively participate in defining and implementing the operational sales strategy for the Asia region.

On the broad geographical area entrusted to him (representing one third of the company's global turnover), the job holder will be primarily responsible for achieving and developing sales of products through all available means (recommendation, animation, training, tastings, etc.).

While being involved in the Chinese market, where he will ensure harmonious development, in line with the resources already committed, he will also significantly contribute to the company's exploitation of the growth potential represented by the vast Asia region. In this regard, he will be required to at least double the turnover of the region during his first two years of collaboration. He will also ensure to share his news and experiences with his counterparts in the European and North American markets.

Main tasks to be accomplished:

Lead and develop sales in line with the company's strategy:

in China:

• analyze the market situation and ensure the effectiveness and relevance of the organization implemented with the two French agents established on site,
• sustain existing business, relying on the two French agents,
• drive the company's turnover growth,

on the Asia zone:

• develop the growth potential of the zone,
• identify, for each of these markets, the importers and distributors best able to contribute to the brand's development,
• build close relationships with them, conducive to accelerating sales,
• on B2B and B2C markets, prospect and negotiate to develop new accounts for the company.

Develop and implement on the ground commercial actions for promotion, advertising and product information, using an A&P budget equivalent to a maximum of 10% of turnover and adaptable freebies on a case-by-case basis (maximum 5% on volume).

Provide sales support to sales representatives and regularly accompany them in the field. Train and animate professional populations associated with the development of the brand:

• distributor sales representatives,
• Food & Beverage Managers,
• bartenders,
• wine merchants

Introduce spirits to the end consumer through tastings. Represent the company at tastings, dinners, trade shows, etc. More generally, convey a strong brand image to different stakeholders and influencers.

• Ideally, know the techniques of winemaking, distillation, aging and the principles of tasting them.
