The role will provide help to sites and develop solutions and improvements at the site level while ensuring process/ improvements are standardized and implemented across all sites, Divisions, and BUs.

Key responsibilities:

• Assess Supply Chain Processes across Sites and Divisions/ BUs
• Through assessments and discussions, defines gap analysis, develop action plan, help to implement.
• Help on addressing Audit Findings/ Observations
• Help fix Site Issues – Liaise with IT
• Standardize and Harmonize Processes, i.e., Cycle Count, Inter-Company, Resins, CSTM, Vendor Returns, SMOG, etc.
• Assist Sites and Divisions/ BUs when request for a new functionality – to ensure is not a “one-off’ and only for that site

Key requirements:

• Degree in Life science with strong supply chain background experience in a site environment
• Advanced no. of years of experience in multiple Supply Chain site functions with a strong focus on planning, execution and logistics processes
• APICS CPIM certification is required.

Job Description

The Associate Director, Clinical Supply Operations (CSO) within Global Clinical Supply (GCS) is responsible for supporting launch and subsequently overseeing the clinical supply packaging and distribution operations at our Company at Rahway Cold Chain Center. This role involves working with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and customers within and outside of GCS to ensure efficient and compliant processes, as well as business continuity.

Key responsibilities of the Associate Director, Clinical Supply Operations include:

• Supporting the implementation and leading the operational readiness of a new clinical cold chain supply packaging and distribution operation in Rahway.

• Overseeing the Cold Chain Center's distribution, inventory, and warehouse activities, including inventory management, metrics, utilization, and inspection readiness once the facility is live.

• Ensuring efficient and compliant processes by owning and contributing to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) specific to the Cold Chain Center as well as ensuring representation of the Cold Chain Center in harmonized global procedures.

• Effectively collaborate with other CSO nodes, including partner group interaction optimization (Packaging, Label Room, Ops Planning, Quality, Master planning, Bulk manufacturing, Analytical for cleaning/swabbing/investigations) to enable business continuity and portfolio needs

• Build partnership with quality teams to ensure agility and speed in meeting portfolio needs.

• Flexibly managing responsibilities and activities across CSO workstreams to support the business.

• Collaborating closely with Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO) and Regulatory teams to ensure regulatory needs are included in the clinical supply chain and on-time arrival of products.

• Conducting capacity modeling and resource management, including presenting to leadership.

• Partnering with drug product manufacturing to develop, implement, and maintain playbooks and processes for integrated operations within clinical supply.

• Seeking opportunities for innovation and process improvement, and supporting change as needed.

Education Minimum Requirement: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.

Required Experience and Skills:

• At least 7-10 years of experience in production operations, technical project management, engineering, and/or management role within the pharmaceutical industry, with an understanding of clinical supply needs, GMP, packaging, and distribution operations.

• Experience in pharmaceutical packaging and distribution operations will be highly valued.

• Strong understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), including FDA and EMEA requirements.

• Experience in leading teams, developing talent, and mentoring or leading complex projects.

• Demonstrated strong project leadership of cross-functional teams through project planning and execution.

• Experience in collaborating with vendors or other external partners.

• Ability to work effectively across boundaries and build strong collaborative relationships with other groups.

• Strong abilities in stakeholder management and building cross-functional networks.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with different global professional levels and external stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

The Civil Group is seeking an Associate Director Global Supply Chain (GSC) to support the Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) Operation and Civil UK Procurement Team.  This role will manage and lead a dynamic and global procurement and planning team of approximately 15 professionals. Team members support full cycle (“cradle to grave”) global actions for operational functions; Manufacturing, Engineering, Service and various programs requirements. The position will report directly to the Director pf GSC and will be an integrated member of the SES Operations leadership team. 

Primary Responsibilities

• Accountable for all Ops procurement activities to achieve key performance attributes including on-time delivery, inventory management, new product development procurements, new business capture and program execution
• Lead full life cycle procurement and planning management activities for the Operation
• Develop planning strategies and supplier relationship plans that are inventive and cost-effective for the Operation
• Develop program specific planning and procurement strategy for proposals, programs and, competitions negotiations, and managing supplier performance
• Monitor and manage reviews of supplier agreements
• Coordinate with the Contracts, Service, and manufacturing organizations to ensure proper product and program requirements are flow-down
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with other functions and suppliers to solve supplier issues of varying degrees of complexity and work issues to resolution
• Engage in captures to support proposal strategies and recommend pricing approaches in order to address Leidos’ and the customer’s expectations and objectives

This role will support Group Agency Distribution (GPD) in implementing Group-wide initiatives in High Net Worth (HNW), Product Propositions and Training & Development by sharing expertise and best practices in relevant agency areas, working with Regional Chief Agency Officers (RCAOs) and Local Business Unit Chief Agency Officers (Local Business Unit CAOs) and local agency teams to support specific agency initiatives, as well as partner with RCAOs to provide customized support to LBUs with on-the-ground presence as appropriate.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• HNW: Work with LBUs to identify areas of improvement based on Group HNW advisor framework (e.g. capability building and propositions); advise LBUs to design and build HNW ecosystems, e.g. tax, legal, health and lifestyle.
• Product Propositions: Work with LBUs to study the product portfolio available in target markets; assist LBUs to design product propositions for new agents, existing agents or specific segments (e.g. HNW) to optimize sales; work with agency training teams to improve training as appropriate; collect insights from agency to feedback to Marketing.
• Training & Development: Collaborate with Group Distribution’s Learning & Development team; partner with Local Business Unit Heads of Training (HOTs) and their teams to ensure execution of Learning & Development roadmaps, support LBUs in driving training & development for Agency Executives (AEs), agency leaders and agents to support Premier Agency strategy.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience with at least 10 years’ work experience, preferably with regional experience in Asian
• Prior insurance industry experience and Agency experience required, preferably with experience in High Net Worth, Product Propositions or Training & Development
• Ability to engage with C-level suite and agency management staff
• Highly analytical with good problem-solving skills

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Business Collaboration

• Partner with APCJ HH to understand market dynamics and strategize supply to meet changing market demands
• Collaborate cross-functionally with APCJ HH, CMC, Regulatory and other functions to ensure the right supply into markets at the right timing
• Maintain close alignment with Global stakeholders to propose and implement supply strategies suitable for APCJ
• Ensure timely and effective upward communication and downward communication
• Align and implement Global/ Regional processes across sites and markets in APCJ Region and cross Region interactions

Franchise Planning

• Support Sites and relevant Planners to establish replenishment plans across the planning horizon to work within min / maximum inventory targets
• Maintain supply alignment with relevant Planners for non-AP sources including that of ExM / CMO
• Oversee Bulk & API planning for Sites to ensure alignment with Global Supply Strategies
• Manage and Optimize E2E Supply Chain inventory; responsible for advising inventory strategy, parameters and targets at each supply chain node
• Led the review and business case support for COMET inventory parameter management

Packaging Strategy

• Point of Contact for the Manufacturing Division to support key strategic decisions (VCM, Ops U lead)
• In order to move from a centralized manufacturing model to a decentralized model (Regional or country level) the incumbent will support the Manufacturing Division (GBO & GVO Ops Unit, VCM SCM, Manufacturing Sites) to all related manufacturing/packaging decentralized options & assessment (regional/local) in order to evaluate the tactical and operational impact for SCM operations and HH Organization

Constrained Supply

• Manage operational planning associated with constrained supply including product (re)allocation
• Responsible for execution of Regional FG allocations
• Create and assess scenario planning to support decision-making

Risk Management

• Lead and support the review of Supply Chain capability to meet market identified risks & opportunities
• Collaborate with Sites to proactively identify supply chain risks and establish mitigation for supply continuity
• Incorporate a forward view of Regulatory changes into Supply Planning for AP markets and Sites

Tier Processes

• Support APCJ issue discussion and escalation in relevant Tier meetings
• Support relevant stakeholders for performance review and actions in the relevant Tier meetings

Product Life Cycle

• Support New Product Launches, PSO, Product Source Management and Network actions

Site Point-of-Contact

• Monitor and maintain SLAs with relevant Sites
• Point of contact for AP region for all Sites and ExM on Supply Planning scope
• Partner with sites to identify and build network flexibility and capability
• Support Global / Regional initiative rollout

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree (preferred)
• 10 years of Experience in manufacturing and Supply chain with international experience (ie: USA and China) is required
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is desirable

Experience:

• Strong experience in Oncology / Vaccine / Pharmaceutical manufacturing and planning environment is mandatory.
• Related experience in managing multiple planning (ERP) systems and interfaces
