We have a reputation for providing excellent endoscopic training and this post is highly sought after by gastroenterology trainees on the NCEL training program. The successful candidate would be expected to participate in the out of hours’ endoscopy and general medical on call rota and training of junior staff.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Gastroenterology with General (Internal) Medicine at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston (UHBW). The main site for this post is Weston General Hospital but as we move to full clinical service integration across UHBW, it is anticipated that there will be some element of cross-site working with Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI), to be determined through the job planning process.

The post is advertised as a 10 PA post, but candidates wishing to be considered for a position with additional or fewer sessions are welcome to apply. The appointment of this position will be part of the 1:11 current consultant on call rota.

Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of their CCT and ideally have NHS experience. However non-UK applicants wishing to apply for specialist registration could be considered on a fixed term basis.

6. To ensure the provision of accurate and timely communication between the Acute Medical Unit, other units within the Trust (including critical care), and in primary or intermediate care settings

3. To devote time, through agreement on a regular basis for teaching and training of medical students as part of agreed teaching arrangements with the Foundation School.

Management & Governance

1. To be responsible for the management, appraisal and discipline of junior doctors who are attached to you, after taking appropriate advice, where appropriate.

2. To maintain personal and professional development. The post holder will be expected to register with their respective Royal College for the purpose of CME/CPD and to fulfil the requirements of that registration.

3. To provide advice, as required to the Executive and Trust board, General Practitioners and other interested parties, on the provision of planning of clinical services locally, regionally and nationally in keeping with confidentiality agreements relating to Trust business.

4. To co-operate in the present framework agreement of management arrangements.

We are looking to recruit Consultants in Geriatric Medicine to join our already established team at St Helier, with a specialist interest in developing cross-system integrated frailty services. The work model is centred on the Sutton ‘place’ and will comprise a split in clinical time, delivering care both at the ‘front door’ and specialist short stay areas of the St Helier’s Hospital site as well as into the community setting working directly both with the Sutton Health and Care @Home service which provides rapid response MDT services and also with the wider proactive MDT services being developed through the four Primary Care Networks of Sutton.

We are seeking an Intern to join our team and gain knowledge and experience working in a professional team environment. As a Sanford Fit Intern, you will:

• Shadow, observe, and participate in the development of the free children's health programming and resources we offer through our website: fit.sanfordhealth.org.
• Participate in presentations and special events to engage with families and children in our community.
• Create engaging and effective educational materials using health education standards.

Internship Logistics:
The ideal candidate will be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program specializing in Education (All Grades, Physical, or Health), Childhood Development/Children and Youth, Coaching, Public Health, or Exercise Science/Kinesiology. They must be able to dedicate 12 weeks or 380 hours in a flexible work environment.

If you are selected for this internship, you will be responsible for the following quality improvement project:

• Assist the Sanford fit team to evaluate and assess an existing elementary health curriculum unit on physical fitness. You will also help develop health promotion resources for parents, caregivers, and educators. The internship will also include community-based health fairs and events.

Candidate should also:

• Be proficient with Microsoft Office
• Able to communicate well in all formats (written, visual, and verbal)
• Be detail oriented and dependable
• Work independently and be a problem-solver
• Have an understanding of educational lesson plans and/or health education curriculum

 

Qualifications

Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university.

Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
