The Role We are looking to recruit a second deputy facilities manager to enhance the leadership capacity in our site team. You will work alongside our current deputy facilities manager, with the clear division of responsibilities decided after appointment to suit both the skills of those in post and the business needs of the school. The role will include shared responsibility for compliance across the school site, delegation of tasks through the trusts electronic ticketing system, ensuring school porterage requests are met, liaison and reporting to the Gordano Hub Estate lead and the school Leadership team. Site safety and project management of some of the site works are very much part of the role for the deputy site managers, who are in control of the deployment of the site team resources on a daily basis. To be considered for this position you must have: Experience of caretaking/maintenance work. Preferably some experience of the role of compliance in the running of an estate. Good organisational and communication skills, including competency in using IT systems. A willingness to be fully involved in the life of a school community, and to be working in an environment with young people. The role
We are looking for a Schools Facilities Manager to join our academy starting in April/May. As a Schools Facilities Manager you will be responsible for ensuring Unity City Academy functions safely and effectively on a daily basis. This role is key to ensuring school facilities are available and fit for purpose at all times. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the site is clean and tidy, items are moved to the appropriate place, minor repairs are made and contractors are effectively monitored whilst on site.

The Maintenance Manager at the Durham facility is a leadership role and it is a great opportunity to grow your career within Maintenance and Engineering areas supporting Vaccine Operations. The individual in this role must provide direction, coaching, and technical expertise to maintenance personnel assigned to VMF. This individual must actively manage his/her team to reliably support customer demand (including employee development, routine coaching sessions, recognition, and performance management). Additionally, the selected individual must become proficient in the use of manufacturing systems and knowledgeable of site procedures in order to resolve process/equipment issues, minimize downtime, and ensure product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Development / People Management:

• Hire, develop, motivate, and manage a team to ensure reliable manufacturing maintenance activities execution

• Assign yearly performance objectives for the team in alignment with department and site goals

• Provide regular feedback and coaching to employees on work performance

• Provide leadership to the team as needed based on the team’s capabilities and maturity

• Ensure on time approval of payroll activities using site approved software like ADP.

Process Execution / Continuous Improvement:

• Provide a leadership presence on the manufacturing floor

• Champion standard work to drive consistent use of best practices across teams

• This position requires the execution of maintenance standard work (but not limited to PM01, PM02 work orders)

• Support and Sponsor the Manufacturing schedule

• Work all site shutdowns, slowdowns, holidays, and weekends per schedule/as needed. This is a Night shift 2x2x3 6 PM - 6 AM schedule

• Regularly help the team troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and maintain product quality

• Represent Maintenance on project teams as needed

• Strong sponsor for the problem-solving efforts and solutions offered by other shifts and teams

• Line clearance LOTO and permit writing for maintenance activities, Safety Management Information Systems (SMIS)

• Knowledge of electrical maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment

• Actively lead the Tier 1 Process and participate in the Tier 2 as required

• Initiate SOP/PM/Calibration redlines and revisions

Communication: 

• Lead and support daily meetings to facilitate flow of information up/down through the organization

• Hold regular team meetings to cascade information and collect team feedback

• Provide clear consistent communication from shift to shift

• Escalate issues as needed to ensure the right support/awareness is given to issues as they arise

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert during tours to provide area/process overview information to visitors/auditors upon request

Quality & Safety Compliance:

• Foster strong safety culture on the team through actions, coaching, and prioritization

• Coach individuals when reporting safety issues and completing corrective/preventative actions

• Drive culture of compliance through actions, consistent quality-driven decision making, and coaching of the team (e.g. documentation, housekeeping, area 5S, etc.)

• Participate in safety/regulatory audits (i.e. tours, topic discussion)

• Coach the team to ensure inventory transactions are complete, timely, and accurate

Education:

           

Required:

• High School Diploma and minimum of six (8) years of maintenance, manufacturing, or military experience.

• A.S. in Business, Science or Engineering and/or a minimum of six (6) years of maintenance, manufacturing, or military experience

• CMRP, CRL or any similar Maintenance related certification is a plus.

Preferred:

• B.S. in Electronics or Engineering with four (4) years of maintenance, manufacturing, or military experience

• CMRP, CRL or similar Maintenance certification

Required Experience and Skills:

• Direct supervisory experience of maintenance and/or manufacturing technicians. 

• Experience working in a clean room or GMP/regulated manufacturing environment

• Able to qualify and maintain Grade A gowning

• Computer fluency, including thorough knowledge of Delta V, MES, SAP, etc. is preferred

• Leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate direct reports and peers to excel and "own" the process

The Maintenance Database Integrity Manager will be responsible for capturing all data required to Maintain PLNG Equipment, ensure the integrity of the database, and manage and control all data uploads in the CMMS Database.  This role is also responsible for the creation of all maintenance work orders built within the CMMS database using verified data extracted from P&IDs, OEM Manuals, OEM Data sheets and all other sources.

• Maintain & populate all equipment information for the CMMS database ensuring database integrity
• Ensure all equipment tags and descriptions are placed within the database according to Manufacturers Specifications/Detail Drawings, Data Sheets, and industry standards to ensure end product is compatible with Clients SAP CMMS System
• Ensure proper and correct entry templates and SAP compliant seamless uploads
• Format data to download into the database to use for work order development
• Apply the Engineering, Manufacturer and Industry Codes and Standards for all Equipment and ensure compliance with all Safety, Environmental Policies and Procedures
• Receive input from all disciplines (Electrical, I&C and Mechanical, Operations etc.) OEM Vendors and Sub-Contractors to ensure all Maintenance work is identified, sequenced, and included into the Database
• Maintain the CMMS Database to create Preventive Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance Work Orders as required.
• Work directly with the PC&C Maintenance Team to ensure all required work orders are planned and issued in a timely manner
• Assist in problem identification and diagnostics and with maintaining records on jobs, problems, procedure changes, etc.
• Implement and record all maintenance procedures for Regulatory compliance
• Capture all spare parts and consumables used to perform the maintenance activity to the work order to ensure their availability when future work orders are issued
• Extract Attribute Data from P&ID, OIM Manuals, Data Sheets, Equipment List and RSPL’s
• Use SAP Experience to ensure all attributes are there to populate client SAP system
• Train CMMS users in the issue and recording of completed work orders and maintenance activities

Experience & Skills:

• Previous proven supervisory and planning skills
• Strong leadership skills including managing projects involving the cleansing and migration of data
• Proficient PM and MM SAP Module
• Must be fully experienced in SAP CMMS building Maintainable Equipment attribute data
• Strong human relations skills are imperative, must be able to read and write English so that information can be exchanged in a clear and efficient manner.  This role requires significant input and interaction with all disciplines of field personnel
• Knowledgeable in preservation practices and procedures
• Established ability to coordinate with multiple involved parties such as Subcontractors, Vendors, and other stakeholders
• Familiar with and capable of working with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, SAP, and Outlook, obtaining, and preparing graphs and other pertinent information and preparing KPI’s weekly and monthly reports and SharePoint
• Self-motivated, well-organized, hardworking individual capable of exercising their responsibilities with minimum supervision
• Strong written and verbal skills for reports describing daily activities.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

• Manage the C&W Services maintenance team at the distribution center.

• Allocate job plans, leveraging experience and judgment to achieve departmental goals.

• Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to team members, maintaining high standards.
   

Operations:

• Formulate standards and work procedures, providing feedback on work order discrepancies.

• Ensure compliance with company and customer regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Oversee applicable codes, standards, and specifications for equipment and processes.

• Develop and implement QA/QC inspection protocol for work personnel and tasks.

Communication:

• Act as a liaison between the maintenance team, Account Manager, Planners, Customers, and Department.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, Management, or a related field (preferred) AND transferrable management experience (3 years minimum; 5 years preferred).

• Reporting Key Performance Metrics (KPI) for a team of 10-15 associates.

• Working knowledge of repairs and preventive/predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.

• Proficiency in the use of basic/power tools, shop math, pneumatics, power transmissions, parts nomenclature, measurements, and fasteners.

• Ability to operate and knowledge of simple and complex heavy industrial equipment (e.g., forklifts, scissors lifts, and boom lifts).

• Flexibility to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends, as demanded by the job. All AMMs will work 4x12s. Shifts available include FHD, FHN, BHD, and BHN. Front Half is Sun-Wed and Back Half is Wed-Sat. AMMs should open to any of the shifts.

You Will Contribute By:

• Oversees equipment inspections, preventative maintenance schedules and service, reviews vehicle and equipment failures, and is responsible for providing reliable and safe vehicles and equipment for use across the distribution center. Reviews and evaluates the performance of all vehicles and equipment, addresses excessive wear and tear or high failure rates, and takes corrective action, as needed, which may include removing equipment from use, to ensure that work teams and individuals have the necessary vehicles and equipment to perform their jobs. Recommends replacement of vehicles and equipment based on assessment of service and maintenance costs versus replacement cost.

• Assesses daily and weekly output, identifies trends in productivity, and directs the allocation of people, parts, tools, and equipment to address day-to-day and week-to-week demand for maintenance and repairs. Leads the development of improved work processes and procedures that enhance productivity and effectiveness of assigned work teams, equipment, and space, and is accountable for achieving the incremental results from the implementation of these improvements.
• Prepares the operating budgets for the garage, reviews and finalizes operating budgets with the distribution manager, and is accountable for developing and implementing work processes that ensure achievement of budgetary and service goals.
• Oversees record keeping, audits, and reviews maintenance records, and is accountable for the accuracy and completeness of maintenance, fuels, lubricants, tires, and parts purchasing and inventories. Purchases fuels, lubricants, tires, and parts to maintain vehicles in service and is accountable for managing the costs of purchases in accordance with budgets and operating needs.
