Role Overview

Transport Team Manager

• Location: Glasgow (ML4)
• Salary: £28,974 Per Annum + 20% Shift Allowance for hours worked between 22:00 - 06:00 (equivalent to £34,768) with potential further progression once in post subject to performance

We're currently looking for a Team Manager to join our friendly team at our Glasgow Transport site, working at pace to meet changing customer needs whilst upholding the highest levels of safety and compliance. In this role, you are pivotal in managing the day to day interactions in our Transport Admin Office. You'll be managing the admin processes, driver's schedules, and vehicle management to ensure we are compliant with driving legislations and that we are getting our trailers out on time.

What you'll be doing

Reporting into the Transport Operations Manager you'll work as a team with 5 other Transport Team Managers on your shift to support and manage your team of LGV Drivers, to ensure delivery schedules are achieved. You'll be managing several key tasks including but not limited to:

• Administrative support, making sure drivers' hours and absence are tracked, and cover is in place
• Ensuring compliance of the driver route scheduling system
• Managing the communication with the drivers to ensure they have the information they need to get out on time
• Responsible for your team of LGV Drivers, managing all HR processes including wellbeing, attendance, engagement, performance, and conduct (with support from the HR team)
• Continuous delivery of operational and customer service key performance indicators

What you need to show us

• Experience within a similar role in the Transport sector
• People management experience
• Organised with excellent attention to detail and able to manage your workload as well as multi task

• Good with processes, accurate admin and computer use (basic in excel and in house systems)

Potential to complete the highly regarded CPC Transport Manager qualification, Level 3 to Level 7 management apprenticeship qualifications are available, subject to performance.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sourcing Commodity Manager located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Commodity Director, Sourcing Commodity Manager role involves being responsible for supporting the development, implementation and management of global strategies to provide Flex segments and business groups with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance (focus on Mechanical commodities).  Working closely with the Supply Chain team / Local Management, the Commodity Manager will communicate and implement strategies, contracts and pricing to all regions with an overall focus on maintaining good supplier relationships and costs to a minimum to achieve maximum advantage for the company and its customers.

What a typical day looks like:

• Establish and manage long term strategic and core supplier relationships and will engage with Flex sites and business segments 
• Guide the selection, development and management of Core and Strategic Suppliers to meet commodity costs and performance goals
• Organize and manage the commodity team with a focus on talent acquisition, retention and development and performance appraisal.
• Implement programs for supplier selection, supplier performance management and supply base optimization
• Provide Quotation centers with support from core and strategic suppliers to obtain competitive and timely quotes
• Monitor current commodity market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges.  Develop, implement and communicate tactical and strategic commodity plans internally and to Flex customers as appropriate
• Collaborate with Customer Supply Chain Managers and Product Introduction centers to coordinate sourcing strategies and ensure a smooth and timely manufacturing ramp on new programs
• Provide access to leading technology, product roadmaps, technology strategies and industry trends.
• Provide point of escalation for Commodity issues as appropriate.
• Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.

• Previous experience on Mechanical commodities: die casting, sheet metal, hard and soft tooling.

• Advanced english

• Extensive knowledge in mechanical fabrication processes (punching, bending, stamping, welding, insertion, painting, powder coating, metal surface treatments and mechanical assembly).

• Strong experience within the metal-mechanic industry (3D data, drawing interpretation, tolerances, etc.)

• Extensive knowledge in specifications and standards related to metals.

• Knowledge in creating, reading and improving Bill of Materials (BOMs).

• Knowledge in specifications and standards related to metals.

• Experience in Solidworks.

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills: excel, project & power point.

• Strong experience in supplier development, scouting, NPI and localization.

• Schedules plant production of finished goods in most efficient, cost-effective manner considering plant layout and capacity.
• Ensures that all finished goods are properly stored and accounted for. 
• Ensures that finished goods can be located in an effective, labor- efficient manner to insure timely loading of orders and trucks.

The CA base hourly range for this full-time position is $64,500 - $87,500

This position is eligible for performance incentives, and benefits.

Contract Clerk responsibilities:

This Transportation Security Manager position is located in Bismarck Municipal Airport (BIS) , Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Provides training, coaching and guidance to subordinates and facilitates team building throughout area(s) of responsibility. Integrates support resources with operational needs to maintain effective air traffic control service, and may work other than administrative shifts to meet this requirement. Using measures of organizational performance, continuously reviews work processes to assure that results meet the agency's mission and the customer's needs, adds value to facility services, and are efficiently achieved. Approves leave; prepares schedules for completion of work; assigns work to subordinates based on priorities; evaluates work performance of subordinates ensuring equity of performance standards and ratings; gives advice on work and on administrative matters; Identifies and arranges for developmental and other training needs of subordinates. Provides training, coaching, and guidance to subordinates, and is responsible for team building throughout the facility.

Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates. Sets and adjusts long and short-term priorities. Approves leave; prepares schedules for completion of work; assigns work to subordinates based on priorities; evaluates work performance of subordinates ensuring equity of performance standards and ratings; gives advice on work and on administrative matters; makes decisions on work problems presented by subordinates; hears and resolves group grievances and serious employee complaints; effects disciplinary actions; recommends/approves selections and transfers; recommends awards or bonuses; approves expenses for overtime, equipment, and personnel within the facility; and identifies and arranges for developmental and other training needs of subordinates.

Your new role As an Export Manager in this business, you'll be responsible for:

Oversight of container loading
Confirmation of all paperwork prior to despatch
Assisting with accurate inventory control
Export process improvement
Management of the wider export and logistics team
Oversight of temperature control (cold storage)
Relationship management between key internal and external stakeholders
Streamlining of the entire export process

What you'll need to succeed

Experience in a cold storage environment (ideally food)
Strong knowledge of export processes and documents
A proven track record of process improvement
Team management experience
Ability to work collaboratively with staff across the site
Strong understanding of the needs around temperature-sensitive freight along with export laws
