This position’s contributions is key to Danone, functional and global business strategies, and cost initiatives, directly impacting Danone’s margins.

This position will be based in our office in Singapore (DPS) as part of the ingredients team, reporting to the Global Category Sourcing Director Commodity Ingredients.

Main responsibilities of the role are:
• Be the voice of global procurement categories within your regions, ensuring seamless communication between global teams and regional / local stakeholders.
• Deliver regular business reviews to regional & local business unit heads, driving critical topics throughout the value chain and ensuring business unit needs are addressed on time in full.
• Deploy global category strategies for your categories and sub-categories ensuring robust delivery of; raw material supply, cost management, risk analysis, dual sourcing, contingency planning, quality and sustainability.
• Build category expertise by being the voice of your regions toward global categories, being a knowledge center connected to regional dynamics and amplifying this valuable input with global counterparts to drive the business agenda.
• Provide continuous impactful communication to stakeholders, reaching beyond procurement to fully encompass cross-functional stakeholders, driving execution of strategies.
• Optimization with continuous improvement; raw material quality and service through collaboration with R&D, Quality, Operations, Regulatory and Project leads in support of efficiency, security of supply and sustainability
• Be the regional champion for escalation of critical issues, driving resolution with suppliers and regional business units, leading the coordination with global counterparts for resolutions.
• Lead cross category and cross business unit initiatives for your region, developing and deploying flagship projects that drives Danone to the next level.
• Accountable to design and execute, in coordination with global counterparts, supplier relationship management within the categories and regions.
• Drive the increase of working capital through payment term negotiation and collaboration with Planning group on vendor managed inventory and vendor-based planning initiatives.

• Good knowledge of spend area at hand is preferred, with professional experience (>7 years) in strategic procurement, an international working environment and with experience in Food Raw Materials.

• Someone who is oriented to deliver value, in love with FMCG & healthcare nutrition.

• Job entails a fair amount of business travel.
